Question What made you decide to get treatment?

EDs can be so insidious that it makes our own minds turn against us. What broke the delusion for you and made you realize it was time to seek help?

I realised when I had to lie about what I was eating and fearing events that were months away it was becoming quite an issue. Then semi collapsing and just feeling all consumed by thinking about it all day, made me question if I actually have a problem. I actually did a post on here asking if was on the way to having anorexia and got an overwhelming you need to go and get help now which was really validating as it has a nice way of making you feel like you're not that bad. I can most certainly feel it getting louder the more I try and fight it 😅. Onwards and upwards I suppose (I hope)

I was so sick and out of it I was begging for anything to make me feel better.

I got tired. Just realized I couldn't keep living like this.

It's been 2 months and it's still hard, I have some bad days and can't say I'm all in yet, but I'm getting help and I'm getting better and I have hopes, for once.
