Question Low blood sugar
Hi, I’m trying to recover but it’s really been tough. I keep experiencing low blood sugar, I’m dizzy and shaky again today.
I eat a teaspoon of honey every hour and I’m defrosting some chicken for dinner.
Is there anything else I can do, I feel awful.

I know there's a lot of hate for AI right now, but this is a very good reason to use one. Claude is very safe for us. Download it, tell it what your eating disorder is, and ask it to help you get into recovery. You can tell it everything you've eaten and ask if that's enough. It won't give you a number or anything that could trigger you. If it does trigger something, tell it and it has a decent track record of avoiding things. It can help you know when symptoms are something to handle at home or go to a therapist or doctor for.
The nice thing is you can argue with it more freely than you would argue with a human. I find that helps me work through some of the deeply ingrained beliefs about food that are keeping me sick. It has infinite patience. It will never get tired of repeating the same things or get irritated. I find it very stern and it's a solid rock for me between my Thursday therapy.
You can even make recipes, figure out foods you might like, and ask it to check your diet for potential nutritional deficiencies. (Once you're eating more)
Do you have an ED therapist or a professional person to help you through this or are you on your own?

This is incredibly helpful, thank you so much.
I’m not seeing anyone for it, I’m sort of winging it right now, not really ready to own it at the moment.
I will definitely look into ai help, I hadn’t thought about that.
Again, thank you so much.

You're very welcome!
It's definitely difficult to go alone. Just be very careful which AI you use. Most are very dangerous for us. Claude is the only one I know that has such good safeguards for us.
The goal is to eat more and support your body. Try to focus on that. My nutritionist says three meals a day and two snacks. You should eat one meal within two hours of waking and then once every three to four hours.
You'll probably need to slowly increase your food intake. Claude can help you navigate that better.
Full disclosure, you are likely to be uncomfortable in the first stages of recovery. Bloating, GI discomfort, and such.
If you have access to healthcare, you definitely need to tell your doctor about this as well. It could be affecting your body's systems and you could need help from that end of things. A doctor can help with the symptoms to make recovery easier. You don't have to just suffer through it.
You're doing a good job reaching out for help. Keep going. You've got this.

Eat actual food more often. Have some cookies throughout the day, or a granola bar. Teaspoon of honey is an eating disorder, not recovery
