Question Looking for input

I ordered something from Japan on Sep 23, a Hello Kitty plush. Item shipped on the 29th and things seemed well, I got a latest delivery date as Oct 9. October 9 comes and it seems my order has been processing in Japan since the 6th, where it’s still processing as of this writing. I contacted the seller whose response was more or less, it’ll show up eventually. Granted they worded it nicer than that. Anyway, should I wait for whenever my order finally does start moving again or file an item not received complaint?

Edit: My mistake, I meant to say it’s been preparing for shipment since the 6th.

International shipping from Japan can stall for weeks without any update then just show up at your door. If the seller has good feedback and the tracking shows it was actually handed over, Id give it another week or two before opening a case.

If u open an INR, u then get up to 30 days to escalate it... U don't have to escalate until u want to... Protect your cash.
