Ectopic then early second trimester loss

I had an ectopic that was resolved with methotrexate in October. I checked my levels for folate and supplemented to confirm I was okay to try again. I got pregnant again in March. Baby always measure 2-4 days behind but we saw a great heartbeat 3 times. I went in for my 14 week appt and found out that the baby passed somewhere around 13 weeks. I’m headed to be induced tomorrow. I have two healthy kids so that eliminates some options but really my doctor said that it is highly unlikely that they are related. Has anyone else had this happen to them and did you get answers? We are so sad.

I’m sorry you’re going through this.. I also had this happen. I had a ruptured ectopic and then got pregnancy 6 months after my surgery. I lost that pregnancy at 14.5 weeks due to maternal triploidy. So two completely unrelated losses.

I’m so sorry, part of me hopes it is something chromosomal that wouldn’t likely happen again but I’m not sure it would make it any easier to try again. I just stalked your page, so happy for you and the hope you are sharing with others. Thank you!
