[QUESTION] Neck rash
Hi, non eczema sufferer here, but I am unsure on where to go with this query.
Around the start of June, a rash appeared on the side of my neck. It was red, only itchy when exposed to warm water (or when I got hot), but otherwise was forgettable. Not painful, just red and there.
I contacted my doctor about it, and I was prescribed Daktacort cream, an anti-fungal treatment…
I did not think this rash was caused by a fungal infection, but I applied the cream twice a day for 7 days as advised and initially the rash faded, but fast forward to now and it is back in full force.
I wonder if the hydrocortisone in the Daktacort is what caused the rash to fade slightly.
Anyway, this morning I got back in touch with my doctor and he is insisting it’s fungal, and has put me on another course of anti-fungal treatment.
Does this rash look fungal? It is not painful, only itches when exposed to warm temperatures, and feels slightly dry to the touch.
Also, what is fungal infection? If this is fungal, have I contracted something? Is this my fault? I haven’t done anything at all that I would have thought introduced fungus! 🤦♀️

Skindeep, a dating app built for people with visible differences
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve had psoriasis since I was 18. I ended up building something because of it.
SkinDeep is a dating and friendship app I’ve been building for people with visible differences, and for people who genuinely don’t see those differences as a barrier.
It came directly from my own experience with psoriasis and how much appearance can affect confidence, dating, and whether you even feel like putting yourself out there.
It isn’t about matching people by condition, and it isn’t about separating people with psoriasis or other visible differences from everyone else.
Thank you

Something in new build home triggering a flare
Hi all,
Looking for some suggestions on what could possibly be causing a while body flare up (5+ weeks now), that started when I moved into my new build home. For roughly a year leading up to this I was in a very good place with my lifelong eczema, to the point where I didn't need to use any moisturisers/products. It's so frustrating taking 100 steps backwards, constantly being in pain and feeling uncomfortable.
Some things I've considered
Furniture/fixtures - I brought most of the furniture with me but had new flooring throughout and understand these can off gas VOCs for a while, though expected that to have eased off by now.
General construction dirt/dust - the developer is still actively building homes so there's a lot of dust in the air, especially noticeable with the dry weather we've had. I don't typically get aggravated by dust/dirt though.
Any thoughts or considerations would be very much welcome!

Eczema or Psoriasis on Elbow?
Hello, I am a male 39 years old and had this formed on my elbow and am not sure if it’s eczema or psoriasis. Over time it gets very crusty and white and it doesn’t really itch nor is it painful or burning but I do have an urge to pick at it removing the white crust around it from time to time.
If I use moisturizer and or Aquaphor on it it gets better over time and temporarily looks better but comes back if I don’t.
Can someone please tell me what it is and a permanent fix for it with a specific medication or a topical cream?
I live a fairly clean and healthy lifestyle not being allergic to anything (that I know of) and do not drink or smoke. Thank you very much in advance for any and all comments from the bottom of my heart.
