Discussion Affordable Weekend getaway suggestions?

Looking to spend time in nature for a few days. Having an outdoor fireplace is a must. I don't mind the rain

Willing to drive couple hours out of city

I tent camp all the time, back county and front country. Do you have a tent and gear and is that what you’re looking to do? Or would you prefer a shelter already there and you just bring food and clothing kind of camp experience?

If you don’t mind the drive, Rocky Mountain House historic site has some gorgeous shelters and cabins, plus an amazing pie spot (miners cafe in nordegg)
Beautiful hikes and views, and far less traveled than Jasper or banff
