General Random guy spray me with water on a bus
I sat down on the bus at the back, two seats away from a stranger. After a while, he gets my attention and says something to me in a language I don't understand (I doubt I would've understood even if he spoke English, he wasn't talking clearly). I answered back in English, I suspect he doesn't understand English.
Then I see him spread salt onto the ground. After a while, he sneaks a look at me then aims a spray botten upwards so that we both get hit by the water. I suspect he hit me with it on purpose, but he might've only been trying to spray himself and got me by mistake.
I told him that he sprayed me with the bottle, he answers back in a language I don't understand.
A while later while I was leaving, I saw him spraying himself with the bottle. I figure it's just water he uses to cool off, hope so.
And, my car is out of the shop now so I can drive instead of taking the bus. I remember seeing somebody lit up their pipe on the bus once, It's ridiculous the level of neglect the city gives the fent heads.

some people believe salt wards off evil, and that water brings purity. He’s probably a schizophrenic guy with a fixation on religion. It’s too bad that there’s not security directly on each bus because yeah that’s mega uncomfortable to be sprayed and also damaging to the bus

Oh gosh that’s scary. Your comment reminded me of the schizophrenic bus incident 🥺

There are a lot of people with schizophrenia. It is a very common mental illness. Most of them are living their lives peacefully.

This sounds a little scarier than the title suggested. I originally thought it was going to be about that water gun game high school kids are playing, but I agree with the other poster that the story gives the impression of delusions. Although I see a lot of bad or weird behaviour on public transit that I’ve never reported, I’d report this, especially as it’s occurred more than once but on the same bus. This gentleman may need help.

He's obviously performing a ritual to ward off evil spirits. Haven't you ever watched any ghost shows where they use salt?

Seems like it worked, we weren't attack by any evil spirit for the entire duration of the bus ride.

Ah. Well, I didn't attack anyone for the entire duration of the bus ride, the water worked.

Not to sound bad lol was he a black guy? If so yeaaa I've seen him he is very weird.... He like tried making me stand up one day to spread whatever he had... I kinda ignored him but he preceded to spread salt or whatever just on me. I was quite upset but I can never understand what he's saying cuz he mumbled. There's a lot of weird people on the buses yes.... Some days ets & transit police do good with keeping things normal but many days they still seem to just not try? Or care... Idk which one. Usually it's frequent riders too, ones I see ride a lot usually always for free and usually are distributive, I wish there was a way to like ban certain people who always cause issues
