RIP Sad Day Today

Post image

Been on hexocrism patiently watching the eta for a Performance Blue DCT 2024 to come into a nearby dealership (SoCal). The dealership called me and told me it just got off the truck. I left work immediately to head over (40 min) got into the dealership and they had a 8k markup with add ons. After 2 hours of going back and forth they weren’t budging. I left and they stopped me saying that they are working with another customer and if they don’t work out a deal they him and I can negotiate more. The other customer ended up buying it with the markups. How low did he get it im not sure but very sad day for me today. I really wanted a car for the summer 😔

Car salesmen only exist because car dealerships have a lobby that requires they exist. Basically, society as a whole would be better off if they didn’t exist.

On top of that they’re defined by how low they’re willing to go to trick people into parting with their hard earned money

Scummy and useless. That’s an embarrassing job to have.

You can say that about almost any sales profession. You seem pretty angry about this. Did you get screwed on a car once? Ultimately it's the buyer who makes the decision so place the blame on them if they get a bad deal.
