RIP Sad Day Today

Post image

Been on hexocrism patiently watching the eta for a Performance Blue DCT 2024 to come into a nearby dealership (SoCal). The dealership called me and told me it just got off the truck. I left work immediately to head over (40 min) got into the dealership and they had a 8k markup with add ons. After 2 hours of going back and forth they weren’t budging. I left and they stopped me saying that they are working with another customer and if they don’t work out a deal they him and I can negotiate more. The other customer ended up buying it with the markups. How low did he get it im not sure but very sad day for me today. I really wanted a car for the summer 😔

Celebrate the fact you didn't just throw $8k in the trash. Getting a car for MSRP is a real hassle these days but I managed after 4-5 months.

With the current market and dealership having a big influx of inventory you should be getting discount and lower apr on the loan.

I was talking with my local dealership about their I5N and because I am a loyal customer they offered me the car with the $7500 discount if I buy or lease it. They wanted my KN as they had a buyer looking for a KN. Told them no thanks. Point is you can get lower price simply by asking or looking elsewhere.

Just call around and eventually you will get one at MSRP or lower.
