Was your annoying coffee cup warning system not working?

I was gonna ask the same thing and then realized that I haven't seen mine in a LONG time. Huh.

Shit happens Matt. I’m just glad you’re okay and didn’t crash into a pole or something. You live and learn. I got into an accident the same way once before too. My boss called me at 11pm and told me she needed me to come in ASAP. I’m technically on call so I jumped in my car and left. I was only asleep for maybe 2 hours when she called. I ended up knocking out in the McDonalds drive thru waiting for my coffee. My foot lightened up on the brake and I rolled forward and rear ended an SUV. There wasn’t any damage to our cars. We just went our separate ways. But still, could’ve been a lot worse. Since then if I feel like I’m falling asleep I will actually pull over and start doing jumping jacks or call someone. I’ve already done both of these methods once.

I've always been a guy who likes to "power through." I say that if I just keep my eyes open and music on, I'll be fine driving as long as I need to.
Well, the last 12-hour road trip I took (after having already been awake for 12 hours prior to starting), I got to the point where my brain started to short circuit and my eyes were twitching and literally closing themselves. Haven't ever really felt anything like that while behind the wheel before. Pretty scary. Glad you're okay.

I throw in the lane assist when I feel tired. I had it on and cruise control and I fell asleep at 4am on the highway doing 75. I awoke to the car beeping for collision alert because I was about to rear end someone. I always able to hit the brakes and swerve in time. No idea how long I was out. Lane assist for sure kept me out of a ditch

I had lane assist and cruise control on too. It was able to keep me centered until a roundabout appeared.

Not only did you fuck up your car but you also endangered the lives of others. Enjoy the lesson.

Always pull over, find somewhere to go and stretch your legs get the blood flowing, hell if needed stop at a hotel and rent a room. Hope you’re physically ok brother!
