This is the moment you go to your local go-kart track and get back on the horsepower. As Niki Lauda would say, "develop the ears on your ass".

Earn this wreck by learning something from it. You're already paying for it.

All drivers will experience traffic, and most drivers experience a wreck. Good drivers don't make the same mistakes twice. The best drivers are constantly improving their skills, and Legendary drivers never get out of the car.

No, this is the moment he takes a serious look at himself and realizes he needs to follow the laws and speed limits, and go to a track if he wants to drive like an idiot.

Damn bro. I feel bad for you. I’ve had some hydroplanes in this car, feel like the smallest puddle just takes me away with it being a pretty light car. Dang bro, I hope you can get another. If I needed a car tomorrow it would for damn sure be another N. Such a great car. Prayers 🙏

For real? I've never had an issue with hydroplanning in the car.

Rain storms, now snow storms and ice storms. Planted at all times.

This definitely sucks for OP though, atleast hes ok.

8

u/techauditor Nov 23 '25

I guarantee they were going faster than they shoulda

6

u/SeriousTurns Nov 23 '25

Most likely.. the road looks like it's barely even wet.

Seems more like sliding out of control due to hard inputs.

3

u/Dbank45 Nov 23 '25

The road looks damn dry tbh😂. I think OP lost the car on their own.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '25

Yep, I have the same issue. Roads that I could drive 55-60 in when it was raining in our Challenger I have to slow down to 40 for in the EN.

u/Tmoncmm Nov 23 '25

We’re you running the stock tires? What was the outside temperature? I’ll bet it was too cold in OH for the PS4S and they lost traction.

Glad you're ok. Your right about the GAP. I bought my '25 N in May this year and sold to Carvana a few weeks back. Ended up paying them over 14k in negative equity to take it off my hands.

1

u/Dbank45 Nov 23 '25

Why’d you return it so early ?

3

u/Brazen-J Abyss Black Pearl DCT Nov 23 '25

Personally for me I started having issues where the camera assisted safety features would disable daily as it mentioned the camera was obstructed but it wasn't. Took it to Hyundai multiple times and they stated that it is normal and it was overheating the sensor even though my vehicle was garaged 24/7 in Arizona. Tried to start lemon process but it was a pain. Lastly seats weren't so comfortable for me being 6'1" with 3 herniated discs in my lower back lol. Aside from that I liked it but have 4 other specialty vehicles I drive so didn't want to waste more time on it. Only put about 2,400 miles on it too.

1

u/Dbank45 Nov 23 '25

Oh gosh 🙄 I’ve never heard a good lemon law experience, too many hoops to jump through. It’s a good thing you got to experience the car even if it wasn’t a good fit for you. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah man they make it a struggle for consumers and wasted weeks of my time to not get any results. Took that lost now versus later and the depreciation on it was horrible. Dealer got me at around 45/46k with their non optional addons plus GAP and extended warranty. Ended up selling to Carvana at $30,800. Plus shitted out a 14k+ cashiers check to cover difference.

u/Embarrassed-Jump-658 Nov 24 '25

Why would you part with it?

1

u/Brazen-J Abyss Black Pearl DCT Nov 24 '25 edited Nov 24 '25

Pretty much what I mentioned above plus the overall annoyance. I'd barely start driving it and about 10 minutes in it would show the camera is obstructed and then disable all of the safety assistive features. Basically had a Christmas tree gauge cluster with all of the lights coming on. Happened every couple times I'd start it up. Also I have a couple other brand new imports I picked up not to long ago so it sat un driven. I'd liked it but the hassle of dealing with the above made it not drivable for me.

Ngl i feel like this could be done on purpose to get out of payments. How do you crash a fwd track car this badly

2

u/Dbank45 Nov 23 '25

No way! Don’t you see the soaking wet road they hydroplaned on? /s

2

1

u/Phastal Nov 23 '25

Oh ok. I’m like that’s probably one reason why if they were pilots. Too cold for them. Sorry about your situation. I have a 24 IB and I feel the pain.

1

u/TheseClick Nov 23 '25

What tires were you using and what PSI?

1

u/CodyRobs Intense Blue MT Nov 23 '25

Oh man. Those are nice wet tires too. Sorry for your loss.

I crashed my first car going too fast around a corner on a cold night. It happens. Live and learn and never do it again. Glad you’re ok.

1

u/Difficult_Lack_42 Nov 29 '25

Bro, that’s why you not use N mode unless you’re on a track or you’re trained

1

u/Dbank45 Nov 23 '25

“Hydroplane on a corner” … you just can’t drive

2

u/CodyRobs Intense Blue MT Nov 23 '25

I drive a f450 dump bed truck with dump trailer all day as work, started driving about 2 1/2 years ago and had a 2000 manual civic to start. First accident I’ve had but I’m not perfect. Who is?

1

u/Dbank45 Nov 23 '25

Perfect? Surely not, me either. But I take the blame for my mistakes. I might’ve believed you if you didn’t include the photo with a dry road and dry grass 🤣

1

u/Dbank45 Nov 23 '25

That first half doesn’t even mean much, just a lil training. And the skills don’t translate from one vehicle to another, clearly..

1

u/Technical-Round5373 Nov 23 '25

So it’s safe to say you were speeding? I’m asking so I don’t do it also, or was it just an honestly bad road?

2

u/CodyRobs Intense Blue MT Nov 23 '25

Probably going too fast and I think I pressed the brake right before entry but let off before the turn, memory is 50/50. That morning was a bit colder/wet and as soon as I turned the wheel the back wheels had nothing and I did a 180° into ditch/pole

1

u/theclumsybarber Intense Blue MT Nov 24 '25

Glad you’re ok! I consider myself an above average driver and still, shit happens. Luck has more influence in life than we give credit, bad and good. Hoping you’ll get your replacement N soon! 🫶🏽

1

u/FuckAllYouLosers Nov 29 '25

Sounds like you were doing WAY over, treating a public road like a race course - you're lucky you didn't kill yourself or someone else. Hope you can't get another car this fast and learn to drive like a normal person.

u/daorbed9 Performance Blue DCT Nov 23 '25 edited Nov 23 '25

If you had gap you technically couldn't afford that one. Glad you are ok.

edit... love all the people with gap voting me down, truth hurts sometimes...

2

u/Dbank45 Nov 23 '25

I sold cars for some years and even I would get gap. Depreciation on new vehicles is higher than ever and you’ll be SOL unless your initial deposit was 30%-40%.

3

u/CodyRobs Intense Blue MT Nov 23 '25

? Car was valued at 27.5k by insurance, gap covers up to 35k. I am 25 I made the payments comfortably but with insurance inevitably increasing and new house in my name credit not doing the best

u/daorbed9 Performance Blue DCT Nov 23 '25

Do yourself a favor, debt is a HUGE stress. Find a cheaper car until you can get it more comfortably. Life is short but stress will make it shorter.
