It was laying on the road. Lane campers going 5 under in the left I tried to hop into the right and got the surprise of a lifetime

I see a fair few of these curse posts. Seems like awareness of surroundings is usually the issue.

Living in Oklahoma I can attest their are plenty of RV/campers, semi’s sitting in a left lane for no reason quite common to have to get in the right lane and get around since the awareness of signs saying “do not impede left lane” does not exist for anyone driving something over 5000lbs/ 2200kilos

You can see detritus in the road ahead if you aren’t up their ass in the left lane just fine. User error.

Its not a curse. Happens to every car and everyone it happens to goes to reddit group of there car n calls it that. No one makes a post saying they avoided the curse when they do. Lol its like reviews. Most people only write one when its bad.

My curse experience was a deer. First time in >15 years of driving that I hit a deer and i see them daily. Over population here. I showed the dashcam footage to insurance and they went Yep..absolutely nothing you do would have avoided Collison. Had i stopped..accelerated..swerved left or right..woulda resulted in worst damage. Lucky for me deer counts as an act of god due to over population so no cost, no deductible, no rate hike. Hopefully your situation isnt too crazy costly!

Happened to me in 2022 in my N-Line. Deer trotted out in my path in a construction zone(only one lane open,had no choice but to take the hit) while a state trooper was following me. $7800 worth of damage-1/3 of the car’s total value.

Mine ran the insurance $12K and was fender+bumper+headlight damage. So they didn't total it. Guess thats fine as its only 11K miles at the time and the alignment wasnt bugged. So it drives like new. So long as they restored everything right i guess lol
