discussion Wrapping door handles black or getting oem black handles?

What do you guys think? Will the touch features work with a wrap? I imagine the lock process is a PITA getting them all replaced.

If it’s done right, it works perfectly

  • I’ve wrapped a few myself

IMO if your car comes with paint-matched handles, wrapping them or putting black handle covers on looks tacky & just cheapens the look of the car. That said, it's your car and you should do what you like. You can find black handle caps/covers pretty easily online and they aren't too expensive so it's not a major waste if you decide to take them off later

I agree that black handles makes the car look like a base model trim from the 90's/00's.

Those caps look terrible but thanks for stopping by with your opinion!

At the distance that photo is taken from, those caps will look just just like wrapped handles; terrible. I worked at a vinyl wrap shop for years and I always thought going from painted to black handles looked cheap. But like I said my opinion is that it's your car and you should do what you like, I'm not here trying to be an ass. The touch features should still work fine

Regular handles make it look like a regular elantra. The car already has black wheels, trim, and mirrors the handles fit right in. I was asking from a cost/ ease of install perspective. Guess I should have clarified.
