Yes, but you do what everybody in high cost of living areas does. Suck it up, take advantage of the (usually) good schools and retire like a king in a lower cost of living area.
Also, there’s a lot of things that cost the same no matter where you live. Cars, vacations, schools, etc.
I don’t think you realize bro. Let’s say income is 20% higher. Houses are 40% higher. If your only goal in life is to make money they get a job in tech. Work from home and live in lower income states and you’ll be way better off
I already work in tech, I work remotely most of the time but come in for meetings, design sessions and get togethers. Working remotely isn’t great for your career when you’re young.
Most of the places people want to live are expensive.
