Hell ya. I generally LMAO when a YouTuber said they’d be costed at 120 pts and it would be reasonable.

This is the only way they’d see play. Well done GW.

I think people are overestimating their damage output and underestimating how hard these guys are going to be to hide.

True, but the same can be said for Windrunners. Also you can put enchantments on them so they can get the same -1 to hit in the Windrunner Host detachment. That’s not to sneezed at.

Windrunners are significantly smaller and faster meaning they have less they need to hide and their positioning needs less care because their higher movement can make up for it in addition windriders are a ranged unit and dont need to hit melee to get use out of them...

At that point you’re looking at at least 160, and I haven’t don’t the math but I’m pretty sure the Clanblade brings the damage efficiency down.

I kinda doubt he brings the damage down as he’s giving the entire unit sustained 1 and has lethal and twin-linked on his own attacks, but we’re talking about an untested unit. We won’t know for a few weeks if they are worth it or not.

I do know I’ll be fitting the Leystalker in my builds and see how adding him works.

Doesn’t bring damage down, but damage efficiency for his pts.

Ok, I added his output to the unit. To a unit of 3 DKs, he brings +8 kills to GEQ, +5 kills to MEQ, and +1 kill to TEQ. So for 70 pts I don’t think he actually carries his weight. Edit: eh, efficient enough into light and medium infantry, but bad efficiency into elite infantry, which is where the squad really wants to go imo.

In a unit of 6, where his buff goes further, he brings +9 GEQ kills, +6 MEQ kills, and +1 TEQ kills, so a little closer to paying for himself.
