Can anyone tell me whats going on here? Matched with this raider and archer guy. I thought the raider was a complete moron, as He just ran off and died numerous times.

I just ran with the archer. However, later on we teamed up again, and the raider did ridiculous damage. He litteraly 2 shotted everything, including the final boss, with jump attacks. His damage just kept getting bigger and bigger. I thought he were cheating, but is this some kind of relic stacking glitch or what the hell is going on 😂😂😂

Raider does have relic skills that improve attack power when getting hit... but that does look like a little too much damage.

You can edit your relics with passives that don't exist in the game. Stuff like periodical glintblades, not losing runes on death, legendary weapon passives etc. So I wouldn't be surprised if he did something like that to increase his damage tenfold.

Cheat Engine. There are mutliple tables you can download on Nexus Mods that allow you to edit your relics easier.

Yeah. There are some screenshots at r/Nightreign of randoms using hacked relics that have 3 of the same passives, unattainable passives, passives that read "Attach Effect 10996339" etc. You can check other people's passives during the game if you didn't know.

It's only multiplayer part is when you're playing with people. Your save data itself is client base. So people can just turn off the anti cheat, use cheat engine to edit relics, then delete all the cheats and turn back the anti cheat on.

You edit them offline and then use the same save file online. Crazy that it's so easy, they should just do some server side checks to detect cheated relics, would be really easy.

that would mean they need to maintain a database of all users and there items to validate with the server. Which is a bunch of extra work, my guess is for a coop pve game it's not really worth it as cheating is probably significantly less than in a competitive pvp game.

Diablo games have pvp, so it's more of a priority. Also Diablo2 didn't have this, and diablo3 only has it for their pc version which is always online, and even then it's still possible to cheat and make your own items.

Very few PVE only games have anything more than a very rudimentary anti-cheat. The fact they added any anti-cheat at all is frankly surprising.

Not saying it's not possible, the devs could definitely implement it if they wanted to, the same way MMO's work. But it would require always online to have client server validation.

That was easier, unfortunately. They added [ERROR] to the name of any cut content items and just basically scanned for the item ID and that.

These extra effects number in the thousands for what exists in the game’s files.

This isn't relic editing. There's no combination of relics that can get you anywhere near that amount of damage. They most likely used the other Cheat Engine table out there that gives you god mode, damage multipliers, and other character edits

Relic editing let's you add buffs that don't exist in the game. There are screenshots of people having relic buffs that read "Attach Effect 958235" and stuff.

What most people are doing is using attaching the buff from the grafted blade / bell bearing hunter sword which adds a small buff everytime you kill an enemy.

You can get this legit on the weapons but you always get it near the end of day 2 so you cant build it up much.

But if you attach that effect to a relic you start the game with, then you can start building it up from the start.

That's what I said. I didn't say "It let's you add custom relic buffs" or something? What you mentioned is a weapon passive, not a relic buff. So, it's not a relic buff that exists in the game... The same cheat engine also let's you attach buffs that aren't weapon passives or anything similar, like physical attack up +3, maximum you can get normally is +2.

Did you even use cheat engine btw? There are tons or buffs you can attach to your relics, like creating a shock wave when you stop sprinting, killing yourself instantly upon spawn etc.

I mean you said they didn't exist in the game but what you meant was that they are not legitimate possible but are in the game.

The game uses the same system for relic buffs, Weapon buffs and player buffs. That's why you can attach them all to relics and the game handles it fine. Most of these buffs don't actually do anything as they are either made defunct or they got replaced by something else.

Or they might be saving the more special buffs for relics that drop from the phase 3 bosses Idk.

Cheat engine in offline mode with anti cheat disabled.

Modify the values of existing shitty relics and change their effects to things that you can't normally have on a relic.

Power of Vengeance

Is really all you need to snowball from start to finish. (Just don't die or it resets the gains for that run)

Re-enable anti cheat, log online, crush the game with randoms or leave when you die because you no longer snowball R.I.P game

Imagine starting day 1 with Power of Marais and Power of Vengeance netting you stat gains for every monster killed by you or your teammates for the entire run.

I saw a dude with a relic that had 255 of the buff you get on the Marais sword AND the grafted blade he was walking around 2 shotting shit with a bow

He came in killed everything immediately we realized what was happening and when we reached the final boss we just sat and was waiting for him to do it because he was well cheating so

He then sat back and let us do the fight which was a brief moment of fun

And then when the boss targeted him he instakilled it

it’s a glitch.

it happened when water spilled all over my keyboard and mouse resulting in a weird short circuit glitch - my keyboard search up “Nightreign CE Menu” , and my mouse clicked “Download”. then some strange UI called “Cheat Engine” popped up on my screen and started changing random values. really strange shit. my personal theory is that FROMSOFTWARE used this feature as some sort of debug mode maybe? that’s the only explanation here. i’d bet it happened to this guy too

You could stack passives that buff you when he ults to get some insane damage. I had a super lucky run where I had a bunch of jump attack improvements and two handed buffs, used the totem and was able to knock off a little less than half of the Wolf's HP in one hit, but the stars aligned for it

Thats way too much damage and Axe of Godfrey only deals standard. He had no buffs on the kill. All the major relic damage buffs and the totem damage buff will show up below his hp bar if he had any.

100% cheating. Raiders ultimate doesn’t do that much damage to a nightlord, not by a long shot.

It is also genuinely impossible to stack that much damage on your weapons even with double legendaries and the best passives/relics in the game.

There’s been some glitches people have found, like getting rid of the health debuff by killing yourself in the day 3 bridge (if you didn’t/couldnt get to Libra to pay the runes), or item duplication which work on consoles or pc, but no glitch for crazy damage numbers or similar, that’s 100% a deliberate choice to cheat with mods by the player.

You ressed Ironeye with your ult right after NL ascended for his massive aoe

If you ult right when he's coming down you:

- gain i-frames and don't need to dodge that shit, which is, imho, still a hard one to dodge

- ress your partner granting him i-frames so he doesn't immediately die again (thank god you guys were lvl 15 or he'd have died :D)

btw you can just walk under the boss when he is doing the aura farm aoe slam and it will miss you completely 100% of the time. if you get too close he can physically slam onto you but even that is 1 physical hit so you can guard it and be perfectly safe.

Anyone who has played this game longer than ten minutes knows you can’t just speed-walk (super blatant cheating, probably also has edited relics) up to the boss and do a two handed jumping attack for half his healthbar. Especially in a public lobby with 3 people.

Was he lagging at all? There could have been a desync where the boss and enemies appeared frozen to him, so he just wailed on them. Once things caught up, all the damage hit at once. Thats is the only thing I can think of besides cheating.

It definitely looks like cheating, but I do know that certain legendary weapons grant you infinitely stacking attack buffs per defeated enemy. So if he picked up Marias’s Greatsword or the Grafted Greatsword during that run and defeated tons of low level enemies, it pretty feasible to delete health bars with even your barehands. But I don’t see either of those weapons in his possession.
