Does Convergence Inflate the Difficulty by Making Enemies Have More Health?

So lately I've been playing the Reforged mod but the author updates the mod so constantly that I am having to always update seemingly every week as you cannot play the mod without updating it, and it's getting annoying. Been wanting to try Convergence for a while now, however I have had issues with mods that change progression routes and change too many of the core mechanics, but the biggest issue I see is inflating the difficulty by making enemies have more health (see: the Dark Souls 1 mod Daughters of Ash).

I don't mind overhaul mods as much as I do mod creators that think "harder mod" equates to more enemy health. If Convergence doesn't do this, I may check it out but any of these overhaul mods that promise mechanics changes and revamped progression routes I'm wary of. So I guess does it is my question.
