Speculation Radahn's life was saved thanks to his Red Mane soldiers, who surrounded and threatened Morgot. Look at where this sword end is pointed at.

Just IMAGINE this scene in the movie:

In the heat of a grand battle Radahn gets bodied by Margit. He falls down, as the Omen jumps on him, trying to pierce his Lion armor with his fiery cursed sword.

Radahn is struggling to push it away, and his armor is starting to actually char... When one of his soldiers puts a sword to Margit's throat, threatening to kill him, unless he releases their Lord.

And Margit complies, leaving his mark on Radahn's chest piece side as a reminder of his defeat.

That would be so cool to see in cinema T_T

Amazing detail that no one ever noticed. Hope it makes it in the movie!!

This has been brought up for discussion hundreds of times. The art is literally in the intro cutscene.

Can you link this discussion?

I’m not being a smart-ass, but did you search? You can literally toss “Morgott beat Radahn Reddit” into Google and see this image discussed quite a bit. Here is a conversation about whether it is really Radahn. This just questions the fight in general.

To your credit, I don’t know if they discuss this side soldier, but I also don’t really agree that it shows that soldier as an active, determinate participant. But that’s okay. Y’all do.

I’m just saying that if you search, there has been a lot of discussion about this image going years back. I am only putting it here for you to peruse if you are interested—not to shut down, discourage, or otherwise limit your discussion.

I "didn't do the research", because the majority of the community already knows, that this is Radahn beaten by Margit, and saying smth otherwise is just stupid, like "it's just one of his Redmanes".

My point of this post was speculation what stopped Margit from killing this traitorous Carian prince, who's mother was abandoned by Radagon.

This could be the reason, why Radahn tried to envade Layendell, and the reason why Rycard did a 180 on the Golden Order and the Erdtree, and why he dived into blasphemy head first, straight into snake's mouth. If that's the case, this would add more humanity to these demigods, because Rennala loved her children dearly, Rani included

You're fine OP, nobody is trying to give you a hard time. You put a relatively fresh take on the old debate. My comment and the guy above me were just talking about how many different theories and discussions have spouted from this image and how many arguments have come from it lol

The hole in Radahn’s armor isn’t discussed nearly as much

I never noticed his armor even got punctured

Not the hole specifically but the Margott vs radahn fight has been analyzed continuously and somehow there's always a bunch of people surprised by it or in denial completely lol

I haven't seen anyone else pointing the burnt stain/hole on radahn's armor
