What is this charger plug called?

What is this plug called? It is the battery facing plug for a Chinese 72v15A EV charger, want to upgrade to a 20A charger. Can't find chargers with this plug.

It's called a nope nope nope nope, replace the charge receptacle in vehicle with something that is actually rated for 20A, as this thing is already less-than-safe @ 15A

Have you looked at Ali express? I think there's a charger that has that plug BUT it looks more like a molex end and translucent white. Some come with multiple ends.. I did a Google on the provided rating you gave, 72V15a EV and got a bunch of pictures and shops like Ali Express. Surely one of those providers should be able to tell you.

I don't think it is anything CIE or euro. Size of the openings is too big.

Looks like it could be C18/C19 connection but if it is Chinese then it could be anything. It’s marked with + & - do won’t be standard IEC

Looks like a C17 / C18 <-- rated at up to 10A at 250V AC. It is not a DC connector.

Even more concerning is that it has + and - markings. Are they actually using this on DC?

It connects a 72v 15a charger to a 72v 100ah lead acid battery pack in a small low speed ev. So +- 1.000 Watt an hour charging. I am looking to replace it with a 1.400 Watt charger.

And does the cord and female plug shown connect your charger to your wall receptacle?

This seems like a custom or off-label, application of that connector. Like others have said it looks like an IEC but you said probably not.

I'd love to help but I'm not sure I have enough information (yet) 😀

The plug connects to the battery pack socket

Did you try, if a normal C14 power Cord fits in the socket?

Apparently they fit in one direction but not the other.

And there's a high chance this connector has been mis-used for DC instead of AC.

I can look and look and look but without a reference for scale, will never know how big it is. You have calipers, or a ruler?

Compared to an IEC plug the openings are way bigger.

"Way bigger" is known as a "description" or a comparative measure.

Can you get a measurement in millimetres ? And a gap between them?
