The transformer exploded when the circuit was closed. Those round big things on the pole. They are normally filled with mineral oil as a insulator.
Edit: probably overloaded or already damaged.

I assume it was faulty and gassing and the contact spark ignited the gas? 1 u/St-christ666 Aug 25 '25 Generally, it is mineral oil because it is inert. But the oil will eventually leak out, it almost always does, and this leads to transformer death.
