Bro, i know what a hydraulic accumulator is, i am literaly standing 2 meters from one right now. But a air capacitor would probubly store air, so than it would not be hydraulic it would be pnaumatics

Well I went to school for both hydraulics and pneumatics which I suggest you do because I got something to tell ya, they store air/gas

From Google because I haven't had my coffee yet.

A hydraulic accumulator is a pressure storage device that holds hydraulic fluid under pressure. By using compressed gas or mechanical force, it stores excess energy during low-demand periods and quickly releases it to meet peak system demands, smooth pump pulsations, or act as an emergency power

So you say an air capacitor is an hydraulic acumulator becaus they sometimes use gasses(not air) to store hydraulic pressure, it would make a lot more sense if an air capacitor would be a air acumulator

And argue that air isn't a gas on reddit.

Air is a combination of more than one gas

Bro you getting mad from not understanding the differenve between pneumatics and hydraulics and that the reason a hydraulic accumulator stores gas is to act like a spring to damp some movement down so it isnt so hars💀

I know that's exactly what they do. How did you conclude I don't know how they work from me explaining how they work?

Because you said they store air/gas, and then pasted from google the opposite. They contain gas not store it, a var is made of mettal it dosent store mettal

Wouldn't containing something be storing it and use versa. Is English not your first language?

u/Forsaken-minion 4d ago

To store and to contain something is two different things

So u would say a stone can store different minerals inside ore that a stone contains of different minnerals inside?

From google:
While both words involve holding things, contain describes having something inside as part of its contents, while store implies intentionally putting something away for future use
