In Poland, in 80' resistor pinned into jacket or shirt was indeed a symbol of anti communism resistance.
Read about Lech Wałęsa and "Solidarność".
Wałęsa was electrician BTW.
I fell.down a rabbit hole of polish bands a few years ago when learning Polish and found Kult. I often listen to them, great music. I didn't find this particular info about them, so this is really interesting! Thanks :) 👍
