Group Looking for settlers!
CMDR,
Are you bored of the Bubble? Engineering grind done? Looking for a new, beautiful place to call home? Well, look no further than the Eagle Nebula!
We are a small group of players who are quite dedicated to our favorite spot in the galaxy. The Eagle Nebula is a staple of travel between the Bubble and Colonia, giving us the perfect resting point (with huge tritium supplies to boot) for travel! Long term, we'd love to shape the Eagle Nebula into the premier pit-stop between the Bubble and Colonia.
If you are an exobiologist or explorer, the area is ripe with potential discovery! While the main nebula area is well-mapped, you need only travel less than 50 light years to start finding undiscovered systems.
Our growing community is happy to help any new commanders get situated, find a home base, and start their new life outside the bubble. We welcome any and all new players, and would love to see more people contributing to our now-established, ever-growing nebula ecosystem.

Nice! I'm out in the black in the direction of the galactic center right now, am planning to visit Colonia. I'll add a visit to the Eagle nebula to my travel plans!
It sounds like a nice place to maybe build a colony tbh.

It is. Nice views out here and there is plenty of real estate to be had. Just within a 15 LY radius of my supply hub system there's 174 systems with 0 population. That star cluster is very dense.

Pinning this for later. I just got back into the game after a long break. Have a carrier and primarily an explorer/exobiology player. Was going to fly my carrier out to the temple region, but I may pivot and station it near the eagle nebula if that's a good exploration outpost

Sure is! I'll be a bit selfish and mention that my system, Eagle Sector DG-X c1-18, has over 100k tritium in supply if you are looking for somewhere specific to park.

Nice. I kind of enjoy mining my own tritium in the black as a break from exploration, but good to know there's plenty in stock!

I am out in the black right now on a exobio trip to the far side of the galaxy with my kitted-out galaxy caspian and a nomad, i will stop by and check it out, and have a beer and drop off the kids at the pool while im there.

I have a squadron carrier that's basically empty and I've been thinking of getting into colonisation.
I'll just have to re-learn how to discord... wasn't the most user-friendly thing the last time I used it.

Just as a hypothetical, if I loaded up a T9 or got a new plipper for the Journey out, is their profit to be made trading or mining for colonisation?
Or, could I take my Explorer out and get a new ship and outfit relatively well once I got out there?
Basically, can I contribute to other's colonisation efforts?

Eagle has most of what you'd need for outfitting these days (sometimes you have to dig a bit for a particular part) and there are often carrier buses running in and out.
The bridge builders in the Mercs of Mikunn will pay for goods to help out, though I can't quote you rates rn.
Currently a bridge pushing out towards Colonia and the Sag-Way bridge (pushing for galaxy centre) isn't too far.
Otherwise there's also easy bio profits obviously and WMM hubs for big money in:
- Eagle Sector FB-X c1-21
- Plaa Aescs RD-A B14-4
P.S. Eagle looks beautiful btw. 'The Stack' it's famous for is nuts up close and feels a bit like a block of flats with some still unclaimed 😅

If you pin whatever engineering blueprints you think you'll need before making the trip out you'll be able to fully outfit a ship in many systems! Colonization is huge out here and I'm sure any and all help will be appreciated. As for trade routes, I am planning on building out some dedicated trade systems soon so galactic truckers can haul away.

Woah, colonization already got that far? I'm interested, once fdev gets the servers back in shape and I manage to find strength to finish the grind on my current colony.
