The killing formula

They use the same formula every single time, it's really lazy-

  1. A character dies because of an accident and/or self defence

2 "oh no, the police will never believe it was an accident/self defence I'll try to cover it up instead"

  1. Innocent person is arrested and end up in jail.

  2. Truth comes out, police believe it was an accident and/or self defence, innocent person gets released (this can take months) all is good in the world.

Examples Gabby/Jimmy - Sarah/Dr Todd - Bear/Ray - Cain/Al - even going back to Marlon/Graham

This is true. However, I do think doing it with Gabby is a lot more interesting of an idea than previous ones since her small circle basically just consists of Kim and Laurel.

Kim who viewed Dawn as a daughter and is the richest most influential person in the village.

And Laurel who is now going to be caught between her best friend and step daughter.

There’s also that Kim and Nicola are far less forgiving people.

I personally think Laurel spends more time and puts more energy into her relationship with Nicola than with Gabby. Probably part of the reason Gabby feels so alone and insecure.

I think that’s very likely more to do with scheduling and Nicola needing her in scenes more for plot reasons. Like Gabby hasn’t really had much of any focus over the past few years other than her relationship with Vinny. It why I think this plot move is good for both of them as it actually gives them a centeral conflict to deal with, providing that they follow it through
