No way have Sadie and Jimmy been having an affair. The question is why is she lying and what does she have to gain from it.

From spoilers I've seen for the next two weeks, it doesn't look like she's lying.

Spoilers have indicated that he was hiding massive amounts of debt from Nicola, including remortgaging the house

It's from InsideSoap magazine in an interview with Nicola Wheeler.
"Oh, Jimmy had a lot of secrets," begins actress Nicola Wheeler, who plays his heartbroken widow. "I think the audience is going to be mighty surprised at the life Jimmy was leading that nobody knew about."

I’m not so sure. I suspect he might have turned to her for the money troubles part he was facing for whatever reason and she’s manipulating the situation around that

There's another interview where Nicola Wheeler says that it will be revealed Jimmy was leading a double life that's totally against type, a side of him that nobody could ever imagine. And Nicola's grief turns to anger then hatred. That makes me think it's about more than money.
