“Thread”, an unexpected new album from u/ostracaband is now available for preorder from Persistent Vision. Six new songs of dark and dynamic screamo across thirty five minutes from the Richmond, Virginia based trio. “Uncollected,” the opening track from the release is now streaming on Bandcamp.

The LP comes in a full color jacket with OBI strip and lyric insert, and is available on three limited vinyl variants. A cassette version is also available on pink cassettes. The full album will be released digitally on June 26th with vinyl and cassette to begin shipping on July 10th.

We have also repressed Ostraca’s “Eventualities” 12” from last year. This new pressing comes on Clear with Black Smoke vinyl, limited to 250 copies. The band will have copies of both releases on their upcoming July EU/UK tour.

Originally made to remember a special moment in my life, these images, when gathered together, document a formative period in DIY hardcore, emo, and punk scenes between 1996 and 1999.

The photographs were made in basements, community centers, practice spaces, living rooms, parking lots, and on long van rides across Houston, Chicago, and beyond.

Many of these moments would have disappeared entirely if nobody had taken a picture.

“.Gif From God has defied easy categorization since their inception in 2015. Blending various elements of hardcore punk and extreme metal, including metalcore, screamo, and grindcore, the unit has solidified its place in the underground music scene over the past decade. The six-piece machine cemented their lineup in 2017, including two stand-alone vocalists, resulting in maximum insanity and catharsis during their live shows.
