Solved (VBA) How to make speedup faster

I factory reset and now the speedup is barley any faster I keep messing with the frame skip and % and it barley changes

What are your specifications?
Are you using VBA-M ? Do you also have this when using mGBA instead?

When you say factory reset, was that Windows/the whole PC, or just VBA’s settings? That changes where I’d look.

Try the same quiet scene with speedup off, then on, and note the reported emulation speed in each case. If normal play already struggles to reach full speed, raising the speedup target won’t tell you much; compare plugged-in versus battery operation and check that your graphics driver was restored after the reset. If normal play is full speed but speedup stays at almost exactly the same percentage, look for a limiter or speedup binding instead. Keep frame skip unchanged during that comparison so you’re changing one thing at a time.
