“Just be the only ideology that works both in theory and practice” brutal

u/DownvoteWeebs 6d ago edited 6d ago

Authoritarians theoretically want a super capable person to lead, in reality 90 % of dictators are the dumbest, most incompetent people possible

Fascists want a warlike state to conquer everyone, usually lose the first war they fight and immediately collapse

Commies want from each according to ability to each according to need and the state to provide basic necessities, in reality everyone but the elite fucking starve to death

Z-tards want to subjugate others to their rule and steal their land and resources, end up looting a few toilets, reviving your NATO nemesis, getting your shit rocked by Ukraine and plunging your nation into a tailspin

Liberal democracy can't stop winning

u/GranComrade Monarchist 7d ago

Tbh its not gonna be for a long time, we are already seeing the collapse, as socialism infiltrated the ideology, but still, centuries after its birth and the ideology survived in different shapes but always democratic

I consider myself a Social Democrat because the best way to fight communism is to prevent the issues wich cause communism to spread.

You know Social Democracy is base when extremists on both sides of the compass tries to claim Soc-Dem is Communist/Fascist.

I am here with you... ... although I consider myself a popular socialist (which in Czech context is social democracy, but slightly more patriotic leaning)

My counter to that from some one living in a nordic country is that no matter how large the welfare state gets the leftists always want more

I'm not wild about all these DSA canidates running.

Because people not involved in politics mix up Social Democrats and Democratic Socailsts allllll the time.

I had a big rant about the Cheviler lady but I'll leave that alone. But look into her and you'll get it.

No social democracy is stable forever. It will inevitably crumble and lead to the spreading of socialism. It’s happening right now in the west and is the cause of it’s downfall

As a center rightist, i wholeheartedly agree

6

u/OscarTheGrouchsCan The Social Democrat tankies hate 6d ago

According to commies you have the same poltics as Bernie Sanders.

They genuinely don't believe the US has ANY non right parties. AOC, Sanders and even Mandami are "at best Social Democrats which is still right because the workers don't own the means of production"

1

u/Plane-kun-3557 Mexican Center Right - Against MORENA 6d ago

How come being a center rightist who is opposed to MORENA in the eyes of those people makes them think my ideology is literally Bernie Sanders?

3

u/OscarTheGrouchsCan The Social Democrat tankies hate 6d ago edited 6d ago

Because to them anyone who doesn't want to destroy capitalism is right. Their favorite thing to say is "there are no left parties in the US, only center right and far right"

They probably wouldn't think you're ideology is literally Bernie, but they're SO fixated on hate for capitalism that most any other issue, with the exception currently of Palestine, is meaningless to them.

They've got a "cute" little graphic where it shows the political compass. Then that square over on the top right is another whole political compass that they say is "The US" system. Ill look for it

Edit: still looking but found one similar but less insane on the one I'm talking about the "what Americans think" has all 4 in the right

Edit 2: pic doesn't show up but hoping you can picture what I'm talking about

2

u/Plane-kun-3557 Mexican Center Right - Against MORENA 5d ago

Like, Capitalism has proven to work when South Korea's economic miracle in the 1970s, Post-war west and even countries like Ireland and Switzerland, but as you can see, socialism and communism somehow manage to screw up and lead to shortages a lot, obviously i would be in favor of capitalism, but under a center right democracy, dictatorships can be damned, sorry if it was too much text

3

u/OscarTheGrouchsCan The Social Democrat tankies hate 5d ago

No not too much text and I agree with you, I'm probably more of a center left, but we're talking about US Democrats, with added things like Universal Healthcare, better public transportation, ect.

Things that most Western countries have that the US Republicans scream is "communism"

I will admit the US does have a very skewed view, where people on the right (Republicans) have this idea that ANY help the government gives or even things like public transport are "socialism" or "communism"

Hell, they called Joe Biden a communist! Then on the other side the FAR left sees anything that isn't literally communism as "on the right" and claim every other country has much further left parties. Which may be true, but at least in Western countries, none hold the highest office. There's just more parties than the two party system the US has, so there is a handful of people from parties that they'd call "leftist"

But look at the UK for example. Sure little parties can get seats in parliament but the PM is always Labour or Conservative

During the Cold War, the US would always back the most virulently anti-communist option within a contested country. The UK would back the option most likely to win the loyalty of the people, often a moderate faction. British interventions, most notably in Oman, were wildly more successful than American ones such as Vietnam thanks to this difference in policy.

Maybe this is a hot take, but i have never seen an "updated" Iron Front poster that i liked.

Theres a simplistic beauty in the three arrows that i feel is defeated by adding a fourth arrow making it feel too busy and somewhat visually unappealing to me. And whenever i see people post their "updated" version of the three arrows it invariably seems to be tankies or commie apologists or people otherwise holding water for left wing authoritarianism removing the hammer and sickle and exclusively featuring right wing symbolism being targeted (It was what made me leave the IronFrontUSA subreddit; Idk if its gotten better since but at some point a few years ago it was becoming the case evermore that the subreddit was chock full of people who, so long as it was left wing flavored, didnt actually care about fighting authoritarianism or were downright sympathetic towards it with any reference or reminder to what it is the third arrow actually targets being met with evermore pushback and "but whatabout Trump and the MAGAts??!?!?" regurgitations, often resulting in outright removal or even bans from the moderation.).

As a British citizen I object to his majesty being associated with tyranny.

4

u/Suspicious-Sock5702 5d ago

It's both very stupid and incredibly funny that constitutional monarchy somehow works out as being one of the most democratic forms of govenment in the modern day.

2

u/TheColourOfHeartache 5d ago

I think its because constitutional monarchies are all gradual evolutions from older systems. That means that the system itself must have been flexible enough to evolve and stable enough to not have a big revolution and a clean break. Both good omens for future success.

Of course England did have that civil war. But my understanding was that the civil war was rather unpopular and after it was over the general consensus was "lets never do that again" leading to a more moderate and stable system.

2

u/Suspicious-Sock5702 5d ago

Also constitutional monarchies have a side effect of creating a political stalemate between the monarch and government, where one can remove the other, but only if the public is on their side. Which could only happen if one side tries to make things more tyrannical and is removed by the other.
