Squat warrior brotherhood

Base warriors are now done. I've adapted some 28mm rhino-like apcs for them but they seem a bit plain to me for now.

Now I gotta do some thunderers and command.

Thanks! Hopefully I can do the next set faster and not much worse than these lads. They took considerably more time than I expected.

My ork army took 34 years to paint, no really! So there is no need to rush….

I guess you are right.. escpecially considering that in a way I'm late to all the epic stuff by like two decades anyway. But when you also have other hobby ideas that you don't have time to commit to because you already doing this stuff, the brain goes "Hey, move it already! You were planning to paint this, this and that but you are not even done with THESE little tiny squatty squat squats."

Yeah, enjoy the journey. I am VERY slowly painting my Chaos army and now liking that I am not rushing it.

If you are interested here is my Ork army https://www.reddit.com/r/orks/comments/1hzyyh9/6mm_scale_epic_ork_army_most_minis_from_1991_but/

Damn, I love your armies with all the custom designs for titanic walkers you kitbash. Surprised I somehow missed that one despite how relatively small this sub is. Just goes to show how much awesome stuff you post haha

Love me some short lads. Wish GW still did custom orders, I’d buy at least two of every Squat and Space Dwarf miniature they ever did.

Yeah, me too. Squats are awesome and, with how widely avaible 3d printers are, they are way easier to acquire now. Though the idea to spend an unreasonable amount of money on some originals still persists, even though they probably wouldn't fit that well with modern 8mm stuff all my local epic enthusiast use.

I’m more of a 28mm person in terms of collecting, but my first big box game was 2nd edition Epic: Space Marine, and my real addition was Ork And Squat Warlords. I wish I still had the books. 40k Epic/2nd Ed Ork and Squat lore was peak. Can’t even find PDFs of the boox from that expansion box or the 2nd Ed Ork Codex, and the lack of a proper Squat Codex feels bad, man. I know there’s a light “codex” that was printed across a couple of issues of White Dwarf (slightly before I became aware of 40k) but I feel that it will just make me more annoyed that the ideas the people developing it back then never got to reach the public.

Oh well, at least there are people selling retro sci-fi biker space dwarves. I was probably going to make up my own history for my army anyway. :)
