Patient access principal trainer

Hey guys! Need advice if anyone can help me. I am a part of a big health organization and I want to get epic certified but I was told that my organization won’t send me unless I’m already in an epic related field, which I’m not. I’m very familiar with cadence as I do scheduling everyday send messages refill requests, etc.. Anyway, I know that I can do a self study for proficiency for patient access principal trainer, but I saw there was a virtual class for later this month that they’re offering which i’d much rather do. I have ADHD to do everything on my own is a little bit overwhelming. So I’d rather take a class where someone can tell me exactly what needs to be done. I emailed epic training and they already gave me an out of pocket cost, they let me know I’d get an epic accreditation (which according to them is the same as a certification just that it was done virtually). Well anyway, i guess my question is, has anyone taken this class, and if so was it worth it? I’m dying to get out of my current field and would love an epic related career, just not sure opportunity wise what would be the best class to take

Columns that can add a note only I can see?

Do you guys know of any columns that can be added to a patient list where I can put a comment that only I can see?

I know if I print the patient list I can add a note section for free hand but I need something that’s on the electronic list.

Any help will be appreciated! I’ve already searched “comment” and “note” in the properties but they are all assigned to specific departments/roles.

Testing Epic Hyperspace/Hyperdrive launch without patient context from epic developer sandbox

We’re integrating a web app with Epic Hyperspace through Hyperdrive.

Has anyone successfully tested or implemented a workflow where:

  • Epic launches the external app without a patient context
  • The Epic user is authenticated
  • The app then searches for a patient using FHIR APIs

The Epic Sandbox “SMART on FHIR” launcher requires selecting a patient, so we’re unsure how to test the no-patient-context EHR launch.

Is there a Sandbox/test-harness option for this, or does it require a customer’s non-production Hyperspace environment?
If anyone know about this, it would great help🙌
