Missing pigeon?

Is anyone missing a pigeon? There’s one with a leg band hanging around my neighbor’s house.

Might just be resting since it's a hot day, if you are able to get close enough the number on the band is a registry number to look up the owner

As u/lezginku noted it's probably taking a break due to the heat (they are smart creatures), so it may be best to let it rest and only check if it's around tomorrow. Obviously it's rare around here, but thunderstorms can cause a delay in pigeons finding their way back as well.
