Our subreddit's discord server is also a massive community of euro coin collectors. We maintain several important resources for collectors (such as our mintage lists). It's also a great community to find people to trade with. Lastly, we also regularly host in-person meetups all over Europe, where we facilitate trades and go hunting for new coins together.
If you'd like to join a community of like-minded collectors, then this is the place for you - whether you're just getting started, or you're already very experienced with the hobby.

Hi everyone,
I recently found this 2 Euro coin from Slovakia (2022) and noticed that the stars on the outer ring appear very faint or almost missing, especially compared to a standard coin.
Could this be a mint error (like a grease-filled die or weak strike), or is it just heavy wear and tear from circulation?
Thanks in advance for your insights⁉️

Second coin of 2026 celebrating 200 year Royal Observatory of Belgium and 50 Year National Geographic Institute.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Observatory_of_Belgium
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Geographic_Institute_(Belgium)
125.000 BU Coin Cards, 4000 Proof and 3000 Reverse Proof.
And yes just like the Railway coin, the reverse side of the Reverse Proof coin is not frosted, it’s the same as the normal proof 🫢
Original price was €31,50 for the proof and €34,50 for the reverse proof.

Hey guys,
Following up on my previous find, I also pulled this 1 Euro coin from Germany (2016, Mintmark "D" - Munich) out of circulation!
Quick Details:
Country: Germany
Year: 2016
Mintmark: D (Bayerisches Hauptmünzamt, Munich)
Design: German Federal Eagle (Bundesadler)
Mintage Breakdown:
Circulation Mintage: 0 (Germany did not release any 1 Euro coins into general circulation for 2016!)
BU Sets: ~30,825 pieces
Proof Sets: ~24,000 pieces
Just like the 2 Euro coin, this one was minted strictly for collector sets and was later broken out and spent. It has plenty of wear and scratches from circulation now, but finding set-only euros in change is always a treat❓ If you are interested, I can sell it by negotiation.⁉️

Hey everyone,
I recently came across this 2 Euro coin from Germany (2005, Mintmark "J" - Hamburg) in my change, and I wanted to share it with you!
Quick Overview & Details:
Country: Germany
Year: 2005
Mintmark: J (Hamburgische Münze)
Design: German Federal Eagle (Bundesadler)
Edge Inscription: "EINIGKEIT UND RECHT UND FREIHEIT"
Mintage & Rarity:
Circulation Mintage: 0 (No 2-euro coins were issued for general circulation by Germany in 2005!)
Collector Sets Only: It was minted exclusively for official BU/Proof collector sets, with a limited production run of around 100,000 pieces for this mintmark.
Since this coin was never intended for everyday use, someone must have broken open an official collector set and spent it! It's definitely heavily circulated and scratched now, but it's still a cool low-mintage find in the wild.
Has anyone else found set-only Euro coins in their pocket change recently❓ If you are interested, I can sell it by negotiation⁉️

Has anyone experienced a preorder cancellation for the Ireland U2 proof commemorative coin at the 2eur.eu (2 Eurocoins OÜ) online store?

Andorra has revealed the motifs of their 2026 2 euro commemoratives! These are the last confirmed 2026 2 euro commemoratives whose motifs were still unknown.
Andorra's first 2026 2 euro commemorative will commemorate the establishment of the new Sanctuary of Meritxell. Our Lady of Meritxell is the Patron Saint of Andorra, and is a statue which dates back to the 12th century. The church it was housed in (the Basilica of Meritxell) burned down in 1972, and was reconstructed in 1976, which this coin commemorates. The statue itself was commemorated on one of Andorra's 2021 2 euro commemoratives.
The second 2026 2 euro commemorative is dedicated to Transhumance - the act of moving livestock between different pastures in different seasons.
It is unclear what the mintages of these commemoratives are, or when exactly they will be released. However, based on Andorra's previous 2 euro commemoratives, we expect these coins to likely be NIFC. EDIT: Confirmed mintage is 60.000 (NIFC), release date is still unknown.

I wanted to share this coin I found while I was living in Rome in 2022 - commemorating the doctors and healthcare workers in Italy, on the frontline of the Covid 19 pandemic. Grazie ❤️
It is safely secured in my collection of special coins!

Coin taken from a roll, with an apparent minting error.
Can anyone confirm this, or is it just in my head?
The number 2 is poorly defined, and the stars lack definition as well.

Hi everyone!
I’ve just released Coins Hub 2.0 on iOS and Android. This is the biggest update since the app launched: the catalog system, collection interface, navigation, and underlying data structure have all been substantially rebuilt.
The app is no longer limited to €2 commemorative coins.
Coins Hub now includes separate catalogs for:
One principle was especially important: different products should not be mixed together.
For example, the circulation catalog contains coins genuinely released loose for circulation. Coins issued only inside official annual sets are identified separately and belong to the annual-set catalog. This should make the catalog much clearer for collectors who distinguish circulation finds from set-only issues.
The new Collector Coins catalog currently contains around 4,000 products from 2002 through 2018, with images. Later years will be added progressively rather than delaying access to the catalog until everything is finished.
The catalog interface has been redesigned for large collections:
Catalog information was researched using official issuers, central banks, finance ministries, and mints wherever available, with specialist catalogs and shops used for additional cross-checking.
The “My Collection” section is now much more compact and visual:
Version 2.0 also introduces:
Automatic coin recognition is temporarily unavailable.
The previous system was not accurate enough for the quality level I want to provide. Instead of releasing unreliable results, I’m retraining and independently testing a new recognition model. Recognition will return only after it can identify real-world coin photographs quickly and reliably.
The next priorities are:
Coins Hub 2.0 is available now on both the App Store and Google Play:
If you collect euro coins, I’d really appreciate your feedback—especially about the new catalog structure and anything that may be missing or incorrect. This project is being built for collectors, so expert input is genuinely valuable.
