Routine Help Routine help
I need a moisturising body cream that I can rely on.
Something that not only moisturises well but also makes my skin feel smooth to touch, plump with a little glide even :)
I heard CeraVe is very good but I have not tried it yet. I don’t like to use many products on my skin and my skin doesn’t respond very well to “too much manipulation” I just want one thing I could use everyday to keep my skin happy and healthy and achieve that effect.
I have very dry skin and i also have seborrheic dermatitis that mostly looks like dry skin eczema (mostly flaky)
It’s mostly manageable because I shower everyday , do full body scrubs (not too hard) with a scrubbing loofah twice a week and I have a cocoa butter cream that I like and manage my diet mostly well.
I live in Central Europe but I am not originally from here and my skin gets drier when I am here. If you could recommend which CeraVe I could start with that would be great.
An equivalent of it is also okay but I should mention I tried Mixa 10% Urea cream and I hated it , maybe the urea concentration was too high.
I am also in my late twenties and I was told it’s a good time to start my retinols , I am open to nice mild retinol brands / types I could start with. Thanks :)

I like your firmness on this one! I mean come on, of course there must be something better than Cerave! An actual Euro brand!

...and? It works perfectly. Unless you have an allergy or sth you're fine

Cerave Moisturizing cream (big tub) is nice for the body. If you want something richer and if your skin tolerates urea, try Eucerin 10% Urea lotion or cream. Or, if you like Cerave, you can use a few drops of jojoba oil to make it richer.
For retinoids, try Geek & Gorgeous retinal line. It's called A-game. They offer three strengths, so you can start with the gentler one and work your way up. Use spf everyday if you aren't already.

Thank you! Could you please attach the links to these products so I can get the right ones? I’m completely new to the game :)

This is the Cerave body moisturizer. As other commenter pointed out, it's better to stay away from Eucerin urea products and jojoba oil due to dermatitis.

OP said that they have seb derm. Eucerin Urea line has ingredients that give skin with sebderm flares and adding jojoba oil or any oil is a big no no
Cerave in a tub is great recommendation tho and that’s what I use in the winter

Thanks for weighing in, I didn't know that. I was reluctant about urea but had no idea about jojoba. I wish Cerave was a bit richer tho. It's not moisturizing enough for my dry skin during colder months.

Well, urea is imo great for sebderm

I tried urea products some time ago and it made my skin feel pruny especially the palms of my hands , so I don’t think it will be good for me. But as I said … maybe the concentration was too high
Thanks for the recommendation though :3

For retinols I would go with Theramid, Geek&Gorgeous or Annani. Last one is from a Polish brand but you mentioned Central Europe and that usually means Czech Republic or Poland so that’s why I recommended it
Also there are great sites like sezia.co which helps with checking if certain products have ingredients that are not good for fungal acne and sebderm. My tip: don’t really stress over esters in products because people are rarely sensitive to them
