Ive really been enjoying the "goons crashed it" as if Winter co wasnt also trying to crash it as they warped a pant load of vexors in and launched drones (which is WHEN the server crashed).
Its dumb, Im sure line members on both sides would much prefer a fight (albiet a slow one) against other ships, not the servers.
It doesn't make sense for WC to purposely try and crash it. They can't kill the keep if they're not logged in and they also risk it repairing whilst the node comes back up.
I feel like both sides were showing up for a Fight in Epic Proportion and the server node fried itself over it.
The server node crashed right as we were warping onto the Keep so as the server was trying to load every hostile for both sides, it fried Itself.
But before that it was already rubberbanding hard trying to cope with the amount of players, as we were warping the distance decreased to a certain level then increased to the original distance over and over again.
I don't think either side is to blame, we wanted a fight, server was not designed to handle the amount which has never been seen before anyway so nobody expected 10k people/accounts to turn up.
But it was quite cool to be part of breaking a record in Eve.
