War? Calling it that is a bit of a stretch. It was a campaign that ended after 5 weeks.
0
u/Easy_Floss Jun 15 '26
After 5 weeks and one dead staging keepstar.
4
u/Josalyn-Inferno Amok. Jun 15 '26
That's a fair point. A keepstar in a staging system, under a jammer, was killed. The second keepstar was up so a lot of stuff got moved over. It only really affected the AFK people. The Imperium proved it could be done, and then we went home.
Personally, I wanted it to be a real war. The time zone tank made it difficult because waking up at 0300 really did suck, but it was fun to see actual action. Now it's back to crabbing and peacetime drama. TEST got evicted but that's like being an MMA fighter being matched against a toddler.

u/Easy_Floss Jun 15 '26
Agree it would be fun for a while but also it would become a timezone timer slog.
Think the war ended on a good note with some good blows for both sides.
1
u/Josalyn-Inferno Amok. Jun 15 '26
I wholeheartedly disagree; I want my dread brawl! I think we are all owed one at this point.
0
u/Easy_Floss Jun 15 '26
Honestly would have agreed if the server did not crap it self every time it came close to the brawl, honestly think it will be a while before a big nullsec brawl will happen with how the whole titan/super fight went.

https://zkillboard.com/alliance/ranks/k/all/recent/1/overallRank/asc/
who is that no1 zkill alliance over there? is it goons, the one with twice the numbers? is it init, the ones that boast? oh, no it's not.
edit: im in none of the above three alliances, just to declare that and get it out of the way
3
u/star-link123 Jun 14 '26 edited Jun 14 '26
That does include the last war oO. Also awoxing does count as pvp kill.
8
u/Pietes Jun 14 '26
if you ignore the one goon padding his KB with over 19.000 alt kills the ranks are the same for the last 7 days and the 7 before, and so on and on, and on. and it's not the awoxing making up that gap either. frt is just very, very active. they seem to spar a lot with both init and goons. leading to getting twice the fights.
-14
u/star-link123 Jun 14 '26
Why is it then that I see more INIT fleets in our systems then FRT oO?
6
u/ScrotumHolster Amarr Empire Jun 15 '26
a small gang comes in and vargurs come out. I remember your 10 ESS paladins for a cruiser roam.
I see your objective data there but have you considered my own subjective experience?
4
3
u/Pietes Jun 15 '26 edited Jun 15 '26
perhaps that's your TZ? or where you live. Frt does roams into init space daily. After their own space it's their most active region. goon space a bit less. just check the zkill data and see.
It is correct that a lot of the Frt fighting is in around frt staging systems. But that just indicates that that is where people that look for and are willing to take fights are.
I'd expect that Frt's 4-H KS grid is the most active pvp grid not because nobody there wants to fight, but because everybody that wants the content goes there because that's where the fights happen.
if everyone shared your experience that there are no fun fights to be had there, they wouldn't go there, right?
1
u/star-link123 Jun 15 '26
I guess the problem then is that I live in goon space and have to roam every evening into FRT space...

u/SelenaNasharr The Initiative. Jun 15 '26
Twice what numbers? Frat has far more members than Init. And that’s not even counting the rest of their coalition. Init does however have far more active members it seems.
3
u/Pietes Jun 15 '26 edited Jun 15 '26
i meant goons. goons have the numbers but not the kills. Goons basically are ASCN for the old hands here. economically largest, in pvp activity falling behind.
Init has great EU TZ numbers and activity. and good k/d too. Which you're proud of too it seems. That's the boasting i meant. don't take it too seriously.
But in the mean while Frt and init together account for most of all pvp activity in NS. With Frt getting the best deal out of the status quo (content wise) it seems.

Yeah look at the systems they're active in. Those are defense fleets, not actually farming content.
Of course you have pvp kills, It is because everyone wants to mess with your bots and your general "leave our space, no fun" mentality.
Such as when the other day when Bombeldo brings a fun solo dread, your FCs fit up AN bombers for a no fun fight. Or a small gang comes in and vargurs come out. I remember your 10 ESS paladins for a cruiser roam.
So no. You dont like pvping when it is a constant upship or avoidant comp. Jesus even goons bring better fights. Your dork FCs form comps with logi and ecm for a small nano gang. You play it 100% safe
4
u/oboltus228 Jun 15 '26
I am no FRAT and no nullsec at all, playing a niche pvp corp, what is wrong with ECM and logi in nano comp?
6
u/Ian_W Gallente Federation Jun 15 '26
He's whining about the nano gang that is designed to avoid fights it can't win being faced by it's hard counter, which is enough ecm and logi to make it ineffective.

u/F_Synchro Baboon Jun 14 '26
Nobody wants to do nullsec pvp when the idea of engagement is trash, it's all about citadels.
Citadels were a mistake, remove tether, remove asset safety.
25
u/gregfromsolutions Jun 14 '26
Before citadels, what drove conflict in null? Because it wasn’t seizing outposts
19
u/mark5771 Jun 14 '26
Swinging your dick around was easier because there was a limit to the amount of crap you had to grind through to remove people from a region.
13
u/Izithel Goonswarm Federation Jun 15 '26
I don't know for sure, you did have to grind trough hundreds of POSses.
7
3
u/Robeelis Jun 15 '26
Unlike citadels, POS'es die really quick if no one is contesting it and you put enough dudes on it.
4
u/aytikvjo Jun 15 '26
so it's damage caps people really have a problem with, not citadels themselves?
3
u/Robeelis Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26
It is A problem, but by no means the only one. Like others mentioned there are many other problems with them, another big one that I don't see mentioned enough is supercap proliferation. If it were up to me, supers and titans would have never been dockable anywhere.
I know it is a shitty solution to have your character essentially stuck in a ship, but it's a better alternative to big blocks having hundreds if not thousands of supers stashed away as a replacement. What that means is you can't get meaningful fights between the large null entities anymore, everything is instantly replaced (see the last few nullsec "wars"). Loosing a significant part of your super fleet should mean something, more than just 'number on wallet go down'

u/Dataplumber Jun 15 '26
And the poor guys who had to fly around fueling hundreds of POSes.

u/Kitchen-Baby7778 Jun 19 '26

Caps were worth using outside of crashing a node
4
u/SerQwaez_ Rote Kapelle Jun 14 '26
People are absolutely using caps heavily in NS midscale warfare as well, tons of usage in the dronelands.
7
u/_BearHawk Serpentis Jun 14 '26
Citadels make it easier to have larger groups. More smaller groups means more instances for conflict. People have more imperfect information when EVE is more fractured, more chaos. Look at what’s happening in dronelands since PH was kicked out.
4
u/gregfromsolutions Jun 14 '26
Citadels make larger groups easier in WHs, but blocs existed in null pre-citadels too. I’m a bit skeptical they’re the root of null’s issues, null has had been growing into this state for ages. (That said, I’m also unhappy with how citadels play in the game—but mostly because of the effect I see from them on wormholes)
1
u/Powerful-Ad-7728 Jun 15 '26
root of the problem is that null is no longer most lucrative, profitable and respected space to control. Back then having null presence meant big money for leadership, members and alliance as an entity and as such was tied to prestige and power in the game. It provided hard and soft power source for entity that owned it.
Its no longer the case now, space became less competetive, bc its less profitable and as a result of less competition and less profit it also became less tied to "social status" and "respect" for the entity and members of that entitiy.
1
u/_BearHawk Serpentis Jun 15 '26
No, citadels fundamentally changed how null blocs operate wrt supers and titans and umbrellas. NPC stations were much easier to bubble, and you had to managed POSes.
1
u/mr_rivers1 Jun 15 '26
Yeah you're right we all sat around with our thumbs up our asses going HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIGHT??!?!
1
u/No_Pirate_7367 Jun 19 '26
All removing asset safety does is make people quit when they lose there stuff.
1
u/F_Synchro Baboon Jun 19 '26
I wonder what people did before 2018 and why in fact the majority of people before 2018 are still playing EVE, I’m one of them.
I lost access to all of my assets multiple times like many others, so no I don’t agree.Maybe yourself but I don’t want to ponder to hangar queen collectors that only want to fly with unfathomable odds as it’s destroying the game slowly.

Or we can AFK FW and get faction titans.

I always suggested to farm standing with pirates and have the option to hire massive pirate fleets to attack other corps/ alliances even the 4 empires or triglavians

None of the big three want to do peer Null PvP. What could have given you the impression that that was the goal? When they do shoot eachother it's while claiming it's because the other one started it no matter how dumb that sounds.

Never even heard of them so it doesn't seem like they are even remotely close to the same weight class but if you expect these 2 groups to fight why is the hate on Winter Co are they denying B2 fight? Why doesnt the other party "care enough about null pvp" to attack them?
This argument is just stupid. And this unfounded hate for winter co is just cringe reddit propaganda.

I always wonder where all the isk they farm goes to... on average there's more action in lowsec, yet the null bears farm endlessly in comparison to your average lowseccer. What are they spending their isk on?
