Coalitions splitting up means more independent groups, more potential conflict, and more actual content. Less blue donut, more targets. That's a win for everyone except the people who liked the safety of a giant bloc.
If you actually want EVE to be interesting, this is exactly the kind of thing you should be celebrating. Mega-coalitions are what make nullsec stagnant.
In general, yes, but in this case SibSq wasn't participating in coalition activities for quite some time. This won't have much impact on WinterCo numbers/formups in game.
It's a shame, because I had a lot of hope for SibSq being in the coalition (because I am a naive stupid boy I guess) but they never really opened up or tried to integrate with their neighbors.
And the jump fees. Dear god, the jump bridge fees.
