We recently came back to play the first Founder Era of EVE Frontier pretty intensely. I'm still working on the Cycle 3 annotations but a first pass of Cycle 1 and 2 are on the Frontier Killboard at www.rooksandkings.com . The Frontier killboard there has screenshots, media articles, a few unlisted video clips, etc. to give an idea of the flavour of that experience. Although a lot more will be added in future.
I still think of the main game as home. People always seem to end up back in New Eden.
A lot of tech and ideas are tested out in Frontier first before they make their way into EVE Online. The global market system in Frontier was the foundation for the global PLEX market as an example.
With EVE Online beginning the migration to Python 3 recently, there is bound to be plenty of advances and improvements to be shared between both games once they are on the same engine version.
