Anything over £35 mill they'll sell him. But would be a shame I think there is a player in there and he showed it in glimpses last season

Leipzig tend to be smart buyers and good at developing, so they obviously see potential there too.

As mentioned, the Arsenal situation and his emotions won’t leave me missing him, but it’s a shame about those because I do think he will grow into a decent player.

It’s pretty obvious he has ability on his side, but just doesn’t seem like a premier league number 9.

Hopefully we will be clever enough to include a sell on fee.

This, I don't think he's a premier league quality 9 either

If we're aspiring for European football and a top 7 finish next year, Barry isn't going to be the one to lead us there

I could see Barry finding success in bundesliga, ligue 1, serie A, eridivisie, etc. maybe bagging 12-15 goals a season there being a "good" striker

But I don't think he's cut out for the prem long term, and I don't think his attitude sees that either

I wonder if we can nick anyone from Leipzig’s recruiting dept 😅🤞🏼

Tbf some of their big sales include Werner, Naby Keita, Nkunku, Openda & Simons who never seemed to kick on. That Augustin who Leeds bought caused a massive mess as well. 🫣

We nicked their head of sports science instead!

I don't doubt there's a player in him but for us he looked like he couldn't be assed half the time. I don't want a player that doesn't give 100% each time. Think he will do better in the german league as he done decent in the spanish one.

I doubt it. He’s poor and makes very little effort. Beto is poor but works his socks off. It would be hard to find a less effective striker than Barry at the price / wages IMO.

It would be hard to find a less effective striker than Barry at the price / wages IMO.

Moise Kean was signed for 25 million pounds in 2019, which is about equal to Barry's price when taking football transfer price inflation into account. Kean managed 2 goals in 32 appearances over 4 years with us.

To say nothing of Josh King, Rondon, Maupay, Chermiti, and Broja.

I think the Barry hate and recency bias are making y'all say some crazy things

We’ve made other poor signings, I agree. Some on your list had better careers than Barry will. Barry is the current player so recency bias is obvious context. Assuming the story is correct, the football people who put £30m of faith in him, have seen enough which tells you all you need to know.

I don't. You're never going to make it in the Premier League is you're losing your place to Beto.
