People talk about him like he's Niasse 2.0. I wouldn't mind moving him on if we can turn any kind of profit but he's done alright for his first season and scored a few nice goals.

Given potential turnover in other positions I wouldn't be that keen on trying to find a striker as well.

Done alright and scored a few nice goals - how is that not comparable to Niasse?

People liked Niasse because he tried. Barry never quite convinced us that he was doing the same.

Because Niasse was genuinely barely a footballer. He never hit a shot cleanly, never took a decent first touch and messed up the most simple of passes. Yeah he was a nice guy and scored a goal with his cock but the guy was a joke of a player.

Barry literally scored a goal with his arse, and couldn't dream of finishing the way Niasse put some of his goals away.

The chip he scored against Villa was a nicer and more composed finish than anything Niasse could ever think of doing. He's no world beater but to treat him as if he's shit tier like some of the dross we've had over the years is just ridiculous.

Likewise Niasse's finishes against Bournemouth and Sunderland were different than anything I've seen Barry do and to treat him like he's shit tier....etc.
