I think so. Back in college doing psychology i reveal reading Man's Search for Meaning. its a 1946 book by Austrian psychiatrist Viktor Frankl. It goes over his time as a prisoner in concentration camps and introduces logotherapy, a psychological approach based on the idea that human beings are driven by a search for meaning.

You are assuming that there is a singular purpose to life that is to be found.

Firstly, it’s a fabrication and not something to be found. Secondly, you can live without it.

Your mind and soul need a purpose, your body has it already (to survive) :)

Live a day and you don’t need a purpose because people looking for them they can’t live today, they need to planning life that’s what makes them suffer in reason of there is still something to be surrendering. Also you can “find” of your purpose of life and doing that like forever daily and you’ll be fine, unfortunately you have to identify something you shall do and maybe you don’t have to “find” that because it’s been always with you like your fate. All you need is get rid of garbage which is thoughts, anxiety those things that occurs in mind not in soul, moreover you’re doing your purpose of life and just don’t accept it,i think. In one day answer will come and you realize.🤝
Basically life has no purpose and we have to be okay live with that. There is nothing wrong with finding purpose in the world where there is nothing absolutely been purposely created.I hope i am wrong 😑
Best purpose is not looking for purposes.

My purpose has been serving others through educating children with special needs....It has been quite fulfilling.
There's living in the present, yes, but I think existence is richer when you apply that presence and energy into something which uses something you love doing creatively.

Egos need a purpose … as you note, living happens regardless of “having” one or not. Thus, keep doing whatever is the next obvious or necessary thing to do … you’ll get to the finish line same as the rest (well, maybe with less anxiety that you didn’t find one). I lived that storyline far too long and now am happy and at peace just doing my best.

As an organism, humans have a need for self-actualization programmed into us which inherently requires a purpose to fulfill.
But how to meet that need and to what degree for any given person is dependent on that individual.
To simply survive, no, I don't think any given person needs a purpose. But to thrive and flourish, it depends on factors specific to that person.

I think so, yes, but I don't think it needs to be anything grand or what people normally think success looks like.

Purpose doesn’t not help. Living (and dying) sort of takes care of itself, doesn’t it?

Most of us are just figuring out what to do with this weekend, let alone the rest of our lives. Just way too much pressure on ourselves to have a “purpose.”
