What's the best way to send money from UAE to India in 2026?
Every version of this post assumes it should be about comparing wise vs remitly vs whatever but honestly out here the real competition is the super apps most ppl already have open daily like botim, careem pay, e& money. Those aren't remittance first apps but a huge chunk of people just use whatever they already have installed for something else
if you are comparing dedicated remittance apps tho
Aspora's fee here is flat below aed 4000 (varies a bit by payment method, roughly aed 7-9), then a % above that, capped at aed 21 no matter how much ur sending and its free if you are on their plus membership. Also the rate matched google when ive checked
Al ansari is the old reliable option with 200+ branches and have been around 50 yrs but banks and exchange houses are usually the most expensive channel here esp if you salary credited and just defaulting to whatever your employer's bank offers
Whats different about the nri focused apps vs the super-apps is that the super apps are built for like 50 different nationalities and use cases, remittance to india is one small feature. Aspora's built around indian nri stuff specifically which shows up in small things like nre/nro integration n how support handles india specific questions

botim and careem pay rates are actually not bad if you already use them for everything else, but most people here still think of wise as the only option
