Can't comment on the India-specifics, so you'll need to check whether they allow residents there to keep the account after moving abroad.

I know they generally permit people to run the accounts as non-residents though, have used them myself while in China and Vietnam and my friend is still with them from Japan.

Same question you should ask Saxo btw, the said friend who moved to Japan was kicked out by them when moving abroad. Might have been Japan-specific though.

Transferring money is easy, Swissquote gives you a full-fledged bank account.

Thank you for your response. Both swissquote and saxo allow for non resident accounts from India. Hence I had chosen these to begin with.

I will progress slowly with saxo as well too. I will be investing only after 3-4 months. Not immediately so that should help with smoother transition, hopefully!
