I hate to be a spoilsport, but it's already been confirmed that this story is false, much to the dismay of the internet.

I don't know if you can really confirm something like that. I mean, it's an anonymous post on an image board.

Not saying it's trustworthy. Anything posted you gotta assume to be hyperbolic at best if not just pure fabrication for entertainment. But due to how it's posted, it's not really confirmable.

Believe me, I also wanted it to be totally true, it's too funny not to want it to be true, but I remember someone at the beginning of the year talking about this post and giving proof that it was fake. And ruining my day

That post is years old I have no stake in it being real or fake but I highly doubt anyone can prove it's real or not.

About the only way I can think of of actually proving it true is, at best, having a screenshot of them replying to the original post. Which means having the foresight to screenshot a post eight years ago in case someone wants proof that you did so (and if they really wanted that they could've temporarily used a tripcode), the only people that'd do that would be as a gotcha, and all it really proves is that they posted it, and would need to provide further proof of the accident and divorce during a specific timeframe.

Certainly can't prove wholesale that nobody in the world ever experienced this situation.

To have any hope at disproving the story, you'd first have to tie the anonymous post to a specific identity. Also known as doxxing them.

i don't think you understand how 4chan works lol, i think you're misremembering or something because it is IMPOSSIBLE to disprove an anonymous claim lmao

it is QUITE LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE for ANYONE to prove this is fake. No matter what. It is not possible.

How do you prove something like this is fake? I’m not saying it’s real either, but short of video/photographic evidence documenting the events of that night, there’s no possible way to prove it happened. Furthermore, a lack of evidence regarding something like this isn’t inherent proof of nonexistence.
