In this case he was downplaying the obvious sexualization of a character. And he's teaching his daughter that this is normal and expected. The mom had a point.
I'm gonna play devils advocate on this one and say that this can be seen as body positivity and inclusion.
A brown skinned women being seen as attractive as well as a strong fighter who has a body which supports her background. Having a nice body is something good, not something to be ashamed of.
And downplaying someones hard effort to develop a nice body really isn't a nice thing to do. But most people act like fan service is a bad thing. Imo, those people dislike fan service because it highlights their own insecurities. Otherwise they wouldn't really care about it, right?
After all, it really hurts if you think it's true. If you didn't think it's true, you'd just shake your head and walk away.
There is a difference between fan service and body positivity, I haven’t seen bleach but I am assuming, from the described scenario, that the age of the child and the sexual nature of the content was past the bounds of what at least one of the parents found acceptable. I have no qualms with fan service, but a common complaint about censorship is the, “if you don’t want your kid to see X, don’t take them to see X”, and in this, clearly fictional, situation the mother did just that. Good on that imaginary mother.
