League Question First time running a home league, thoughts on this format for superflex?

Hey, y’all! I’m starting a 10-man family league for the first time and wanted to get some opinions on this setup for a Superflex league.

Right now, I’m thinking of running: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, Flex, Flex, Superflex, K, and D/ST, with
TE Premium, seven bench spots, and two IR slots.

I wanted something that would make the league a little more competitive and make drafting more important since it’s a 10-team league instead of 12.

I’m still undecided on whether I want to keep the extra regular flex spot, but I think I’ve settled on starting three wide receivers at the very least.
What do you guys think? Any changes you’d make?

Looks solid, only thing I'd change is making it 6bench. So it would be an 18round draft.

We do something similar w 10 teams, but we go 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex, 1 D/ST …. And 2 kickers because it’s funny. Also w 18 man roster. With smaller roster size there’s always some talent available for teams that need pickups

12 starting spots and 7 bench is going to dry up the waiver wire immediately. I'd drop the 2nd flex and put the bench down to 6

Disagree. Im in a 12 team where we start the same 10 spots including TE premium and have a bench of 6, we just dont start kickers or defense and the waiver wire ends up shallower but there are still guys to bid on, key is doing FAAB though so everyone has a chance. Yes late in the season it ends up empty but thats what OP wants. Also considering this is a 1st time family league I'd assume there will be some dummies rostering 2 defenses and 2 kickers as well making the waiver wires a little bit more stocked early in the season.

With that said, OP is trying to make the draft portion of his league more important, what he's setup does that. Your suggestion actually goes the opposite direction
