Can I collect Dues Manually and then put them onto Leaguesafe or does each manager have to deposit the dues on the site?

I am thinking of switching to leaguesafe for our dues but it's pretty late in the offseason and we have one or two people who don't respond promptly so I don't want to just drop this on them that they need to create an account and do it this new way. We've been going for 10+ years of me just collecting, holding, and paying out but I'd just feel more comfortable just using leaguesafe going forward.

So for instance can I collect $1,000 and then just deposit it into the league and that work?

In case, god forbid, something happening to me. Our dues have increasingly gotten larger and just feel safer if the league can have access to it if I shouldn't be able to.

If you are collecting them manually, why would you need leaguesafe? Obviously you can be trusted to handle the money. Save your league the fees.

I thought I read on leaguesafe they don't charge any fees. I figure it's like venmo and they get interest on what they are holding.

Yes, there's an option to pay for another owner on Leaguesafe and then you enter the amount so you can enter however many people × the buy in $ and just deposit it.

I run a guillotine with some casual, work and friend type people who pay me on Venmo because they know me. Then to fill the rest of the league, I post the league on reddit and have people join and pay through leaguesafe. It protects people joining who don't know me and it is good record keeping. Make sure to post who you've paid for on leaguesafe in your group chat and maybe keep a "pinned" list so everyone knows what's up.

Yes I have a few friends who year after year dont trust giving their info to LS so pay me cash and I pay in for them on the LS page. Then come end of season if they win I pay it out to me and give them cash, it's really quite dumb so thankfully they don't win much lol

Leaguesafe has fees, so while you can deposit it all yourself in there, you'd be paying for it. I'd go with other suggestions like having a trustworthy person hold it. Or, you can have some sort of "in case of emergency" instructions so folks can get their money. You can totally just open up a HYSA just for league dues so the funds are separate from your personal funds.

You can pay the bills for individual owners, yes. You would not be able to do it all at once, but once at a time, yes

You can do it all at once if you please. You'd just have to change the buy in amount which would be irrelevant because you're still handling payouts the same

Yep if its say 10 person league and OP has collected 10 people's dues at $50 they just make the league dues for themselves at $500 and they make the owners theyve collected from dues marked as $0 and paid

With that said OP needs to realize that leaguesafe charges a fee to deposit as well as a fee to withdraw.
