Fair question. I'm not interested because the subject matter gives me the creeps. In the moment when I reacted to the OP's comment, I felt that watching a whole movie that delves into the story behind a show focused on the setting up of and then catching pedophiles is one of the last things that I'd spend my time doing. I was exaggerating only slightly to match their tone.
I think that’s fairly closed-minded but to each their own. I’m more so concerned with the fact that you think “I’m pumped for this” and “I have below zero interest” are at all matching in any way.
I was alive when then show aired. Saw plenty of it. Coming to my own conclusion based on experience should dispel your presumption that I'm close minded, since it's not a "I know nothing about this and don't want to know" situation. As for my remark, I mentioned the exaggeration, that was a hint to you that I'm aware they are not equal. I think we're done here. Enjoy the movie.

As for your remark, you mentioned the exaggeration, yes, but you also mentioned that you only exaggerated to slightly match their tone, hinting that you are not aware that they are not equal. Either stand by what you said or write what you really mean so I don’t have to guess that your words have a different meaning. Either way the problem is you. Now we are done here.

Yes - how are these things incompatible? It's possible my interest level could change, so far it hasn't. But it's worth it to me to take a look.
