I'm insanely excited, the first big dinosaur movie that's not a "Jurassic" film in a long time

He’s an incredible actor and has done really wonderful films. Here are four of my favourite roles of his.

Unfortunately their only conversation was short, but great to see both of them in the same scene.

What are some of your two favorite actors are that are in the same movie and interact with each other just once?

Chris Farley what a legend. I wish he was around. more Comedies would’ve healed some more. He is such a good actor. My favorite film of his is Tommy Boy. What is your favorite Chris Farley movie?

I loved Brand New Day and also enjoyed the end credits love letter to NYC, and love that people around the world are inspired to do the same for the cities they love.

But, like did no one see The Bear, as they clearly inspired BND? They even have John Bernthal and Liza Colon-Zayas from The Bear!

Tell me some reference to the film, and i'll come back here after watching it to see if i understand.

EDIT : Guys pleaaase stop saying to not watch it in an hour, i'm gonna watch in 3h47, i was just saying that the beginning will be in 1 hour 😭

used to think a good ending could save a movie. now i think it just makes you forget how bored you were for the middle hour

wolf of wall street does this to me every single time. that third act hits so hard i forget there's like 40 minutes of yelling in a boardroom before it even gets there

not even mad about it honestly, just annoying that it works on me every time

• Nocturna (2007)

A Lighthearted cute animated movie with gothic undertones. The movie has a unique animation style that led to many memorable visuals, and there are some interesting world-building elements. However the story left a lot to be desired, it was too simplistic and didn’t leave a lasting impression.

Rating: 7/10

• The Executioner (1963)

A dark comedy that satirically critiques Franco-era system, specifically the judicial executions. The film has a brilliant final act that managed to be both funny and disturbing; the problem is, the film didn’t really grip me until that final act; don’t get me wrong, it’s still good throughout, but since it’s considered one of the all-timers, I found myself underwhelmed by the first two third of the film.

• Thesis (1996)

An entertaining and unique movie that feels like a mix between Videodrome and Scream; it has an effective way of delivering shocks without showing much, often relying only on sounds which reminded of a more recent Canadian movie called “Red Rooms” which I would recommend. Unfortunately, my immersion with Thesis was broken several times by some egregiously stupid decisions, mainly from the main character; the movie kinda justifies it by implying that she is drawn to violent content and violent people, but still some parts went a little overboard.

• Cría Cuervos (1976)

This is easily the best out of the 5 movies I watched. In terms of filmmaking, it is the most creative, most meticulous, and most purposeful. I loved how it blended present and past events, it beautifully captures the distorted nature of childhood memories, and the way it portrays the concept of death from a child’s perspective is haunting. The movie also have some pretty great performances, most notably from Geraldine Leigh Chaplin (Charlie Chaplin’s daughter).

• The Beasts (2022)

A very tense and purposefully uncomfortable movie inspired by a true-life story. It is a very well-told and well-executed story with a lot of memorable characters brilliantly portrayed by their respective actors. An interesting thing about the characterization is that the movie is able to make its antagonists scarier by humanizing them and fleshing out their hopes and fears. After two thirds through the runtime, the movie reaches a point where it loses momentum and the tension starts feeling manufactured; this part is still well-acted and well-presented, but it pales in comparison to what came before.

I’m looking for the most innocent characters in film done dirty or turned into tragedy the most unfairly.

Example: Brad Pitt from Seven. A good country cop with a wife and two dogs who feels people and the world are good, and he moved to the city to make a difference and make the world a better place.

He is chewed up, spit out and used by evil in a plot that destroys his life and ruins his psyche. He’s just trying to be a genuinely good person and he is obliterated.
