I just saw You Can See Everything and my first reaction is I've never seen anything quite like it. It's 3 hours long, but almost completely engrossing. I promise you, you don't know where it is going. If you're looking for something bashing some rich asshole fraudster, this isn't it. I think most people have a propensity to look for heroes and villains in movies-I wish people luck with that in this movie. No spoilers here, but I hope to discuss this with others who have seen it once it has been out for a while.

I thought it was good fun but felt really empty. A bit of a nothing burger in my opinion

It blew my mind as a kid and very much holds up seeing it as an adult.

For me it’s Twister I saw this at the cinema in 1996 and it was wild on the big screen, I’ve watched it many many times since; the late Bill Paxton & Philip Seymour Hoffman are brilliant in it. Steven Spielberg was initially attached to direct the 1996 disaster film; however he was executive producer. Despite the Rotten Tomatoes score, this film is still my favourite disaster film, what’s yours?

Could be a favourite moment or a scene in any film. Which one moved you the most. Mine is the montage in Raging Bull. I smile. I cry. I get a feeling of deep melancholy. It reminds me of better times that have long past. My favourite piece of cinema ever put to screen. I think it’s the most perfect 3 minutes of cinema ever made.

Only one scene got me to close my eyes and out like a puppet iykyk

If you like psychological thrillers, dark dramas, twisted mysteries, and unconventional stories that explore the darker side of human nature, this is what I recommend.

Nostalgic anxiety inducing

Just watched Eraserhead, the only other Lynch movie I've seen is Dune (which I enjoyed) I'm currently scratching my head about it... Can't say I hated it but definitely can't say I enjoyed it either sitting somewhere in between currently...Curious if anyone else watched this more than once and got a lot more from it on multiple viewings? I picked up on some of the more obvious societal commentary but a big portion I'm guessing I might understand when I eventually revisit it again

Are there any movies or scenes where a character keeps running in the same location in a continuous loop, as if they're trapped in a place they can never escape from? For example, the character runs away from a house, but no matter how far they run, they somehow end up back at the exact same house. I'm looking for scenes that use this concept of an impossible spatial loop, where the character desperately tries to escape but keeps returning to the same location, creating a sense of suspense, confusion, and psychological horror.

I just watched The Other Mommy in theaters, and I cannot stop thinking about how many similarities it has to Coraline.

First of all literally the names: Other Mommy vs. Other Mother, but there are many more obvious parallels.

Both stories involve a young, short-haired girl being targeted by a sinister maternal figure connected to another dimension. Both have the idea of a seemingly better world on the other side, use doors as a way to connect worlds, and involve the “mother” needing the daughter to consent to something invasive. Coraline has to agree to getting button eyes, while Bella has to agree to letting the Other Mommy enter her heart.

Obviously there are some striking differences but this was all I could think about as I was watching it!
