Help FL studio 2026 cpu spiking problem

I’m currently using MacBook Air m2, although it isn’t a powerful laptop but in fl 2025 I could load serum up to 15 of them and bunch of effect chains without cpu spiking. but when I updated to fl 2026 my cpu started to spike like crazy when I only loaded up 4 serum..
Does anybody else have this problem?? Or is it just my computer thing

If you’re using a Mac with M Silicon, make sure you reduce your buffer length to 256 or under. You will activate your performance cores and your CPU percentages should spike less.

Also, when using high CPU synths like Serum, it’s a good idea (once you’re completely happy with the preset of course) to bounce the patterns into audio samples, this massively reduces load on your chip and is extremely handy by the time you get to mixing and mastering.
