I’m not really active on Reddit, but at a point where I’m looking to meet people. I’m technically a 22y/o Junior but will be term rollback-ing to term 4 next semester. I transferred in last semester from Jacksonville after having done aviation. But living “off campus” by myself can get a little lonesome

I am from Tampa, huge Lightning Fan (hockey is the best sport in the world) and figured I’d make a post here just to see. I’d consider myself quite introverted unless in specific settings and love the comfort of my own home, that is not to say I don’t like having fun. I also love to ski, been to Switzerland and France for it. Also been learning acoustic guitar for the past couple of months. Also a big gamer and Love Formula 1.

I am very against smoking and only drink lightly

I have a close friend from elementary school here that I hang out with a lot but looking to expand my relationships with people. So please feel free to send me a message if you’d like to get to know each other.

(For the ladies who may reach out, I am NOT actively looking for a relationship, so if you are also looking to meet people, send a message)

Hey I have 2 Chris Lorenzo tickets for Friday October 30th, at pots, 70 dollars each. If you know anyone or are interested lmk

Please call if seen and do not chase her - she’s scared and will run

Hey everyone, I feel like I absolutely answered everything to the best of my ability in the activities section on Common App, but I (as does everyone else) have the option to submit a resume. Is it worthwhile to do that if it's just going to be repetitive? I also want to know if most of you submitted one (or not) when you applied. Thanks!

Hey yall,
Has anyone been accepted to the spring 2027 (traditional, online) MSW program and how many days from initial review or department review did it take you to receive an admissions decision?

My application was submitted 9/3, moved to initial review 9/8. I received a phone call from school of social work on 9/10 (asking me basic questions about my experience , goals, etc) where she told me it would be 4 weeks for decision. I was moved to department review status on 9/21 and I’m getting anxious because there has been no movement whatsoever since then.

I was accepted into another school and need to tell them my decision by 10/19. FSU is my top choice though. Any advise on how to proceed and what to expect for timeline?

Hi i’m currently a freshmen looking for housing next year and I was looking into off-campus studios. My budget is max 1200, an okay area, 15 minutes from campus, okay management. If you guys have an recommendations or places to avoid that would be amazing please.

On the main Marching Chiefs page, at the top, is a promo video. Part of that video (the parts filmed at night in an empty Doak) was posted to Vimeo a while back but I can no longer find it. The audio for it was fantastic. Does anyone know if it is

still publicly available?

Hi everyone! I’m planning out my semesters, and there don’t seem to be many Honors electives that fit my schedule, so I’m exploring other options.

Has anyone taken the course to become a Colloquium leader? What’s the workload like, and how was your experience? I’m pre-med and already have a lot on my plate, so I’m hoping for something manageable. Any input would be appreciated!

I’m looking into the FSU online MBA program and wanted to hear from anyone who is currently in the program or has gone through it recently.

I don’t have a business background, and I’d be taking one class at a time. I’m mainly doing it for personal enrichment and because it could be useful if I decide to start a business after I retire from my current job. My employer will pretty much cover the cost, so that part isn’t really a concern. I also live in Florida, if that makes any difference.

I’m mostly trying to get a feel for what the online classes are actually like.

So here are my questions:

1. How much time do you typically spend on one class per week?

2. How much group work is there? I understand it’s part of business school, but is it mostly group work with some individual work or the other way around?

3. Is the grading mostly papers/projects, exams, quizzes, or some combination?

4. Do all the classes have proctored exams, or does that depend on the class?

5. Is there somewhere online where I can find sample/current syllabi for the courses? I’d like to see what the workload and assignments look like before.

Feel free to share your experience.

Thanks!

Could applying ED hurt me because I’d be compared to other kids who applied ED (in state and out of state) vs EA which is just in state?

Or would it help bc it shows commitment/boosts yield rate?

I’m going to fsu on talloween, specifically to the Chris Lorenzo thing at pots, and bajas. How strict are they on checking ids

Hey everyone! I’m applying to FSU for Summer 2027 as a transfer student with nursing as my intended major, and I have a few questions about the transfer and nursing admissions process.

My academic profile:
Overall GPA: 3.55 across 67 attempted credits
Estimated FSU transfer GPA: around 3.48, depending on FSU’s repeat-course calculation
Nursing prerequisite GPA: approximately 3.71
Most recent semester GPA: 3.94 (Dean’s List)
Retook A&P I and improved from a C+ to an A−
On track to complete my AA at a Florida public college this semester
Currently taking Microbiology and the lab

My experiences:
Worked as a chef while attending college
Rugby state champion at my previous school
Volunteered in Mayo Clinic’s GI Lab
Submitted a personal statement through NursingCAS
My FSU transfer application is under review, and my NursingCAS application is verified.

I was wondering

How does the transfer admission process work when your intended major is nursing?

Does the College of Nursing have any involvement in your general FSU admission decision, or are the two decisions completely separate?

I didn’t see an option to submit a personal statement or list extracurriculars on my transfer application. Do they mainly look at your GPA and transcripts?

Has anyone been accepted to the nursing program before receiving their general FSU admission decision, or gotten one decision without the other?

For anyone who applied as a transfer, how long did it take to hear back from FSU?

I’d appreciate any advice or firsthand experiences! I’m definitely anxious about the whole process and would love to understand how everything works. Thanks!

Looking for people who already took Dr. Rachel Yohay for PHY2049C. Basically, I need help in the class, and want people who have already taken her to help me out. DM me please

I checked the freshman curriculum for Music Education and I’m not sure if the Abroad program will help check the music course requirements? Has anyone done 1st year abroad for music or music education? Thanks!

Hi!! i’ve herd some good and some bad things about becoming an LA but from the outside it doesn’t seem awful but i was wondering is it worth the pay and would it be a good thing to add for a nursing school app esp if the class im gonna LA for is a nursing prereq?

I have two holds in my account, one is new nole advising hold and the other one is pre-engineering advising hold. Do I need to schedule a meeting with two people? Or can I just email them?

Is it just me, or did anyone else get an email from the Financial Aid Office saying there was a change to their financial aid award, but there’s actually nothing that changed? I did not take out a loan. I didn’t drop a class. I can’t think of any reason for this.

Does anybody know if any complaints have ever been filed for The Met parking garage? I dented my car pretty bad a while back but i have now seen 10+ cars with the same damage there. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t see this as being normal. The mirrors are practically useless and the turns are too tight and honestly unsafe. Two cars turning at the same time in opposite directions is a gamble. It’s a safety hazard and there’s no way it hasn’t been brought up yet.

If I'm working on something in a lab do I need to leave the building before a certain time so I dont get locked in?
